How will Brexit go?

Name one concession Britain has made to the European Union. In contrast, the European Union has returned billions of pounds to Britain in various projects, allowed Britain to keep its own currency, allowed Britain to remain outside of the Schengen area, allowed the English colony of Gibraltar to me part of Devonshire, Ha! etc., etc.
I mean the EU made enough concessions to the Britain, that there certainly was no need for more. Why should Britain be different than any other member?

Ed Miliband and Jeremy Corbin were made leaders of Labour as a reaction to the right-wing militarism of the pro-American Tony Blair. Once the party did disastrously in the elections, they shifted back to a right-wing pro-Israeli leader with the English knight Sir Keir Starmer as their leader. He will be considered one of their betters, being a professional lawyer with a title. The English are fixated on class.
Corbin was an utter waste-of-time and effort.

He accomplished nothing because he expected the vote to come back to Labor ipso-facto.

Didn't happen that way, did it? And the majority is even worse!

The Left is in a shambles throughout the EU ...

Innate sense of British superiority?

You'd think their inability to handle the losses in jobs within manufacturing would have taught them a lesson.

But, no, it did not ...

PS: And it is still not decided! They still need another meeting over "fishing-rights"! Much ado about nothing!

The English working class are notoriously xenophobic.
What "working class"?

Nearly 1.3 million Brits live in mainland Europe -mostly retired.

Frankly, it is not that large a portion of the British population. But, still, it is a very large contingent of expats who have left GB .... ...

My friend you have your finger on the pulse! If only we had water between our shores and our neighbour.

They haven't yet realised, the effects, as the pandemic are hiding the unemployment figures which are going to take a huge jump just shortly.
While I fully understand the need to reform the EU, I also see the merits of being part of the EU.
The fishing of Scottish water will come back to Scotland, so any agreement made by Pfeffel is subject to change.
I have no interest in a French or German or EU mandate conscription into a unified military command, we have suffered too many wars, and too many deaths of our sons fodder for English wars!
The laws forced onto the Westminster government have only been good for Scotland and its people. Rate one, has given us roads and bridges infrastructure which if it hadn't been for the EU we would still be waiting to travel 25 miles to go a mile. Using bridges built by the EU than ferrys. all thanks to the EU.
But the real reason England must leave the EU has only been in the papers once. Laws which were supposed to be in place and implemented by 2015 Westminster has still not moved on. These are money laundering laws. With these laws, An auditor can get full access to any banks accounts, and follow the trail! The Aristocracy will never be able to launder the world trade in drug money without being caught! So the population of England has to suffer!

I like you! Your comment what working class made me laugh!

They the ex pats know's what side there bread is buttered!

The only reason that crappy little island was ever a world power is the enslavement of others. Well, that's over and now it's just a crappy little island. It better get on a team or it's gonna fade away.

Ooh so very true. But it's not only one nation, there are three nations, but the would only hates one of them, and it's not us or the welsh.

That's a real-shame. I have known for a long time (since I once lived in London) that a lot of illicit personal profits were being "laundered" in London.

I had thought, however, that the matter had been settled by some police-work and putting those committing the crimes were put in jail. I have no idea whatsoever of how that particular situations stands today. I just know that the French, in fact, suggest doing it because the French authorities will indeed come after you if you are avoiding paying taxes on your holdings in France.

I don't know of any of my Brit-friends who are planning on leaving France. They are quite happy living here and - at English-speaking clubs that meet, the talk is typically about personal problems and "how do I fix them?" Nothing drastic, mind you. But any dealings with French authorities is bound to be a pain in the you-know-what given that regulations are so complex and often contradictory.

It's not a bad place to live - if you don't have to make a living in France. If, otoh, you are looking to work here then you must not only speak rather good French but also deal with the French Mentality.

And that latter bit is a behavioural-idiosyncrasy that is sometimes difficult to handle - the French being a "me first!" people ...

It is only one nation. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are not nations, but regions at best but in reality they are colonies or conquered lands. Everything is pretty much run from London, with a few exceptions that London has allowed. But of course I understand that this fact hurts nationalists feelings, but those are the facts. Greenland for example, has a lot more self rule than Scotland and Wales, but Greenland is not a "nation", but a colony of Denmark. Sure we Danes, like the English, call it a self governing part of the Kingdom of Denmark, but the reality of the situation is that this self governing is only something that the government in Copenhagen allows and can take it away if they want too.

Actually, ...... quite wrong! It's a treaty of union, not capitulation.
We had a referendum in 1979, where the majority voted to come out the union and return to true independence. The conservative demanded that anyone who didn't vote in the election was considered a no vote, which was totally illegal, but we know how England and America runs elections!
The case was eventually taken before the United Nations.
The UN created an enquiry, called, UN Scotland with a dedicated reportuer, which even though delay after delay, twenty threes later reported back, to the security council, the report was given to members.
The report stated either we were given back our autonomy or England would be thrown out of Europe..... and the United Nations. The Labour Party gave us nothing!
We were given back "devolved" government, and its more than obvious, we demand more.
I agree, most things are run by London, thieving fingers in the pie! The Barnett formula give back 23% of tax receipts which they in Westminster like to call "charity"!

A treaty of union signed with a gun to your head is still capitulation.

It's amazing you say that, as even today, it was the church's vote that took us into the treaty of union, and still no one knows what they voted! But obviously, you know better than historians!

You have heard of the saying... the victor writes the history books right?

Of course..... but the facts are the facts!
We only need to look at dunblane, those court documents have been hidden for 125 years to hide the criminal actions of the aristocracy and they're minions.

That the Left is in a shambles is testimony of the brilliance of right-wing Tony Blair. He destroyed the Labour Left.

The English working class make up about half the voters.

Starmer is doing it all over again. He's currently suspending the membership of Socialist Jews on the grounds of antisemitism. (Theirs!)

Starmer is an attempt to return to the electoral successes of New Labour.

When Tony bLair was in office, he bragged about getting over ten point five million pounds of laundered drug money under proceeds of crime legislation. What he didn't say, was the ten point five million pounds was one days interest on the money held in that account.
A well known British bank was the assistant of the drug cartel, the auditor who found the money had watched the account for more than five years, the day the strike on the account was to happen, the money was moved, twenty to thirty minutes prior by senior management into thousands of accounts and cascaded.
Had the auditors have the money laundering legislation which was supposed to be in place under EU directives there may of been an opportunity to jail many lords and ladies, officers and gentlemen! And saved thousands of lies ves.

Mmmm...... obviously you know nothing of the right honourable Jeremy Corbyn a deserved title, or labour politics.
Starmer has been having secret tet a tets with American military, security and Secretary of State.
Starmer, should crawl back into the sewer he evolved.

That the Left is in a shambles is testimony of the brilliance of right-wing Tony Blair. He destroyed the Labour Left.
Stolid and diastolic ..... yes you have your finger on the pulse!
But the media played a huge part in undermining democracy as well as secret funding of millions by the billionaires of America and England.

Starmer is an attempt to return to the electoral successes of New Labour.
He will destroy the Labour Party, Corbyn was a honourable man, ridiculed by the press for being an honest principled moralistic man. His word was his bond. Tories any one of them, if there lips move, you just know, they're lying!

Meanwhile Johnson is running down the clock to no deal. His sponsors and the ERG will be loaded behind on shorting the Pound, and **** anyone else!
Nobody voted for no deal in a referendum or an election. If it was mentioned at all it was only as an extreme hypothetical possibility which it would be too insane to even discuss, Yet here we are. Even by the government's least worst assessment.

As long as the rich aren't affected it won't matter.
