You keep showing that ignorance, California is so great that three areas of the state want to succeed from the state. You don't live there thus are as clueless about that issue as you are on civics, economics, the budget and even your own state politics

A West Virginia legislative committee has defeated a bill that would have prohibited minors from getting married in the state

The Republican-dominated Senate Judiciary Committee rejected the bill on a 9-8 vote, a week after it passed the House of Delegates.

“For now, there will be no floor for the age of marriage in WV, endangering our kids,” Young wrote on Twitter after the vote.

Some of the bill's opponents have argued that teenage marriages are a part of life in West Virginia.

It's kinda bizarre that people who can't be bothered to complain about the fact that many Democrat-run states have an age of consent for sex as low as 13, would criticize Republicans for voting against a law that prohibits 16 year olds from getting married.

Do you live in California? Tell me why if it is so great that counties want to succeed from the state instead of being run by liberal politics since the late 1980's? You look at numbers that lack context. The true state of California is losing population, deny it?

California is billions in debt, deny it?
California leads the nation in homeless and illegals, deny it?
California has among the highest cost of living, deny it?
California leads the nation in poverty, deny it?

California is not the terrible state that you paint it. All your claims are not backed by facts or statistics. You gave opinions, zero facts , as usual for you.

And by the way, several of those states have no restrictions on having sex with 16 year olds (same as the minimum age to marry in WV, WITH PARENTAL CONSENT -- it's 18 without parental consent).

HI allows people as old as 19 to bang away all day with 14 year olds, and 17 year olds in NJ can legally have their way all day with 13 year olds. But I guess they can't get married first even if they want to, that is, if the selective outrage over WV's laws is to be believed.

It is all about politics and the desire for the left to turn the rest of the nation into that utopia California. You leftists engaged in bashing West Virginia or TX or any other state outside yours ignoring the reality that the bastions of liberalism California, NY, Illinois are liberal cesspools leading the nation in the worst categories. Why would anyone want California politics nationwide
