Of course there is a comparison. There was violence and destruction of federal property by both sides during protests. In fact, it's not a hard arguement to make there was considerally more violence and damage caused by Leftist protesters.

It is not the comparison between the two that is important, it is the contrast -- BLM protestors were fighting for rights granted by the Constitution and the Jan. 6 mob were fighting to take away those rights. That is the crux of the matter.

As much as I wanted the 1/6 Committee to wrap things up by the end of Spring, it's fine that their investigation takes up to 5 more months that further supports an iron clad investigative report.

Its more the DOJ isnt even attempting to pursue the case. In refusing to do so they also signal that the president is above the law. Next time they will slaughter members of congress. Seems like a simple decision to me to at least pursue the investigation where people can be arrested for refusing to testify.
