[W:295]Pete Buttigieg to Quit Democratic Presidential Race

This is where folks on the right get it wrong. Obama may have been a lot of things. And he was also, not a lot of things, one of those things he was not, was a moron; oh, and a con-artist.

What were his accomplishments as president? Anyone have a clue?

most people understand that calling Mango the Clown names is very presidential. Punkinhead proved that himself.

I don't call Trump names, there is only so far down into the muck I will go. That said, your argument is valid. And anyone trying to play obtuse about who you are talking about must not really pay attention to Trump when he does it too (but I bet he does).

Bolded= Nope.
Non-bolded= Yup.

One thing the MSM does to people is to make them believe what they believe, like an evangelical continually pounding on their child that there is a hell.

Trump is the only president in history that is connected to so many “wise guys” and mafia types and he is the lesser of the two evils?

The leftists propaganda artists sure are wagging the dog.

I am not denying that he bloopers. Some people just aren't snappy talkers. BTW, I am not a Biden supporter.

Acknowledged. Which is why you would like a weak candidate to run against your favorite

I know what you mean. We should develop a poll on what day next week she quits the race. I would take Wednesday.

If Biden wins the nomination, she moves to the short list for the VP slot.

I can see her as a valid VP candidate based on where she is from, she would need to deliver (or help deliver) Wisconsin among other things.
I say she is out by Sat.

What aren't any of these threads titled "Buttigeig pulls out"?

Well, not being a con-artist, is up there. But it is irrelevant what his accomplishments were, as you'd never concede a point.

I've seen it said that Butt had to drop out because he ran out of Obama speeches to crib.

Well, that is definitely why Melania stopped giving speeches. I give ol' Pete the same credit as I do her.

Well. That explains a lot. No wonder you're so puckered up about it.

I'm not puckered up about anything, except trying to reason with the morally-challenged, carnal-minded, stiff-necked crowd.

This thread should be about Buttigieg quitting, not sure how it got so far off topic here.

Regardless, I can't help but think that someone got to Buttigieg, I don't see a reason for him to have quit before Super Tuesday. He won Iowa, he came in a close second in NH, he had more delegates than Biden at this point. But he ups and quits. I think this is largely because the DNC doesn't want Sanders and they didn't want Buttigieg and Biden splitting up the moderate vote. So I think someone got to Pete, and convinced him to bow out. Probably promising political returns in the future. Likely nothing illegal, but it's still shady and underhanded.

I was never going to vote for Sanders, but I will say that if this is the way the DNC does things, they deserve to lose. Unfortunately, they'll be running against Trump and the Republic cannot afford to have the Democrats lose. Wish our fate were in the hands of a party that was far more competent.

Ah. You raise a point I raised elsewhere yesterday. (Biden said he'd support Bernie if he got the nod.)
Doesn't that mean you know Bernie and Socialism are bad for the Republic but you still believe he would be better for the Republic than Trump?
If not, why not?
And if so, Bernie being better than Trump is clearly preposterous so wouldn't it also suggest you'd be putting your Party above the Republic?

So, the top 20%? Anyone here who couldn't do that?

I doubt 9 in 100 on this board could get into Harvard law-even with say an affirmative action break. Like it or not, graduating MCL from HLS is pretty impressive.

Well, that is definitely why Melania stopped giving speeches. I give ol' Pete the same credit as I do her.

Could be. But she wasn't doing the full Obama impersonation complete with mannerisms and faux sincerity.

Right, so you're puckered up about it. Admitting it is your first step to salvation.
