[W:#23,579]Ukraine War Thread

So you think it's someone on the right with an agenda?
Yes, I do. There are basically two kinds of traitors, those with an ideological bent, and those with a financial incentive. Trump supporters are in the former group, although Trump himself is obviously in the latter. He says, "I love Russia" and they respond. There is a confluence of interests between the "leaker" that provided the information and the Russian interests that have publicized it. No patriotic American would supply an enemy with sensitive information.

Does anyone have any ideas who did the leaking?

Is there anyone out there that is an expert on this type of thing with any educated guesses?

"In another case, last year, players of the online game War Thunder repeatedly posted sensitive military documents, apparently in an effort to win arguments among themselves."

Based on the way the information was distributed, and the content of the information (the information made both the U.S. and Russia), I wonder if the motivation on part of the leaker was to win a debate like the leak related to the War Thunder argument?

And by looking half a year ahead, I hope that it will be possible to transfer about 100 Leopard-1 tanks. This would be a significant help for the Ukrainian army in the fight for freedom.”

But a question also lurks beneath the surface: what are Europe's ambitions as we go deeper into the 21st Century? Is Europe still in the global dominance game? Is Europe in the race alongside aspirants like China. and top dog US?

I certainly think there should be an EU army to defend Europe but the problem will always be that Russia will always help fund & support political movements and parties that are anti-EU.
The biggest nay-sayer to a European Army was always the UK but we are out of the EU now and shouldn't have any opinion.

On your other question, no, I don't see "Europe" having any kind of global dominance ambition this century - there are also huge differences between any ambitions Northern Europe (for example) would have vs ambitions Southern Europe would have.

thank you pootin 🇷🇺🐖 !! (y)

Finnish instructors train Ukrainian border guards to kill Moscow invaders !

“During two weeks of intensive training, Finnish instructors trained border guards to command a unit in combat. The main training goal was to teach border guards to make analytical decisions based on existing or new facts. Under the guidance of Finnish reserve officers and senior officers, Ukrainian soldiers learned to analyze the situation on the battlefield from the commander's point of view, to give clear and understandable orders according to the situation. The border guards, along with other soldiers, also mastered leadership skills through practical training,” the message says.

Retired Finnish army colonel Erik Leppäjärvi, who taught the battlegroup command course, said that when he met Ukrainian border guards on the first day at the training ground, they looked like Finnish recruits. But over time, Ukrainians showed progress. Now they are real commanders. In Finland, one would never have become an officer if one had not been a soldier before. If you know what it is like to serve as a soldier, you can be an officer, because you will know how to command soldiers, Finnish army colonel added.

You're late to the party. :)

Still, the video is hugely emotional to anyone who has put on the uniform. A friend of mine left his job in the police to go and work as a translator for Ukrainian tank crews this January and the reaction of the current serving British personnel is apparently very similar to what you see in the video.

It says that the UK is among a number of countries with special forces operating in Ukraine. According to the document, dated 23 March, the UK has the largest contingent (50), followed by Latvia (17), France (15), the US (14) and the Netherlands (1).
The document does not say where the forces are located or what they're doing.

Russian attacks seem to have stepped up this morning around 4 towns in Donetsk.

They are losing. They need a win. Desperation is setting in.

Either that or they are planning to engage in a retreat "strategic force location realignment" and are just razing whatever cities they can reach in some sort of sick scorched earth policy.

So the great Pentagon Security Apparatus was compromised by some basement-dwelling online gamers?

Yeah...i'm feeling really safe right now. Maybe those douchenozzzles should spend less on DEI hacks, teaching American soldiers "proper pronoun usage" and more on security.

Russian scum pushed back in Southern Ukraine

Ukraine counteroffensive plan modified, not seriously effected by document leaks

During Russian overrun of Kyiv Oblast, 1300+ civilians killed. 279 civilians still missing, 195 bodies still unidentified, 317 peoples' deaths still undetermined

Pretty sure this wasn't some squaddie. More likely a civilian DoD employee.

BERLIN — Germany’s land forces cannot fulfill their NATO commitments, according to a leaked memo from a top soldier cited in a German media report.

A division that Germany promised to NATO isn’t fully ready for battle, Bild newspaper reported Tuesday, citing a routine “leadership message” from Alfons Mais, the army’s inspector general, to the armed forces’ inspector general.

The memo increases pressure on Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who is being confronted with the Bundeswehr’s structural problems that also faced his predecessors.

I think it's both.

If the tankies, Russians, and pro-Russians wonder why the Ukrainians fight, and they wonder why other Westerners support the Ukrainians, show them this, then they will understand.

It's better to die standing on your feet, than live your life on your knees.

Слава Україні!
