[W:1539] NY Grand Jury votes to indict Donad Trump

I would think by now they are getting money up front. If not they are dumber than I thought. But then again maybe the latest ones are dumb. From what I hear the best firms have steered clear of Trump.

Any lawyer that agrees to represent Trump should lose their license. Clearly, they lack ethics and good judgment.

Nah, he deserves representation. I just think they should have their brains checked because they'll likely be doing it pro Bono whether they want to or not.

Perhaps, but I also believe he is a criminal who will use his legal representation to commit crimes, which is why I believe he shouldn't be allowed an attorney, expect a public defender.

Who couldn’t see this coming? I do disagree that he’s insane though, he knows exactly what he’s doing, it’s all meant to incite his cult.

I'm surprised he didn't say "His name is Juan so he's got to be Mexican so he can't be fair to ME!".

The indictment is sealed until Tuesday when Trump is criminally arraigned in a Manhattan courtroom. Trump will be booked, photographed, and fingerprinted.

The indictment charges will then be read by the judge and Trump will have to plea to each charge.

I assume at least one of the pending counts is a felony charge.

I also assume that bond conditions will have been previously agreed upon by prosecutors and Trump attorney's.

Hopefully, the judge will also caution Trump against articulating any threats against Alvin Bragg and his DA office.

Look at this ****ing stochastic terrorist go...

I hate to post this but I will. If I were Bragg, I would send my wife and kids into hiding, and then pay for private round the clock security for myself. These ****ing idiotic MAGAs are going to get someone killed. And sadly, this time it may not be one of their own traitors.

That didn't age well at all. The timing between that post and the indictment being issued is freaking hilarious!
I like this one, too:

SEAN HANNITY: Our top story right here out of New York. Alvin Bragg is now sweating even more than usual tonight. Now, his pathetically weak case against former President Trump has totally imploded. Let's be very clear here. The case died this very week. It is very obvious. It is very clear. It's transparent. Alvin Bragg had every intention of indicting Donald J. Trump this week. But for the second straight day, grand jury proceedings were canceled today. Now, Bragg is now telling Reuters that it was former President Donald Trump that created a false expectation of arrest. It was never actually going to happen, according to Bragg, it seems. Really? After a multi-year investigation, the formation of a grand jury, the D.A.'s meeting with law enforcement to coordinate an impending arrest of a former president. And we're supposed to believe that somehow Donald Trump created the false expectation of arrest.

Psyche!!

Who couldn’t see this coming? I do disagree that he’s insane though, he knows exactly what he’s doing, it’s all quite calculated to incite his cult.

Given the sheer number of grammatical errors, I can't figure out what he is trying to say here.

Trump should get Ken Paxton's lawyer. He's been under indictment for years and still no trial in sight. Of course it helps that Paxton is the Texas AG

Does anyone know where Trump hides Hannity's balls? Are they in the same mason jar of formaldehyde on his nightstand where he keeps Ted Cruz's and Lindsey Graham's?

Trump has always had a tenuous relationship with reality due to his narcissism, but its quite possible he is having a nervous breakdown that borders on paranoid psychosis.

We've become inured to how unhinged he's becoming because we're used to seeing so many nutso tweets from him over the years.

The one charge I heard about was the charge where they say he paid Daniels $130,000 in a settlement and confidentiality agreement, and the reason they say that is illegal is because it should have been paid out of his campaign funds. To me, that sounds extraordinarily weak, and even non-criminal, because frankly, paying for the silence of a liaison sounds like a personal expense, and if he had actually used campaign funds to pay $130,000 to a porn star to keep her yap shut, I have no doubt the FEC would be asking him to reimburse those funds as an improper use of campaign funds for personal purposes.

I haven't seen the indictment, yet. If someone runs across it, please link it here, so we can look at the charges.

From what has been reported in the news, I think Trump should insist on his speedy trial rights, and get this resolved before the election, because he will be acquitted.
Not public yet..but it's being reported that there are 30 counts. Yikes.

Why should the taxpyer pay for his defense when there are idiot lawyers who will do it for free even if unwittingly

He paid $35K per payment. He reimbursed $130K. Do the math. Less than 4 payments. That's not 34 counts. Even if they included payments to the Enquirer for the playmate payoff, (Which I haven't heard that mentioned), it's still not 34 counts.

There is more to this indictment than just hush money payments, IMO.

DA's tend to pile on from the original charge. Don't think of it as 34 separate 'acts.'
