When you or anyone can explain the DRASTIC reduction in deaths in Sweden, New York, New Jersey, Conn. and Mass in the past two weeks, do let me know.
There was no "DRASTIC reduction in deaths in the past two weeks." That's complete nonsense. Even "2 months" is flat-out wrong.
NY, NJ, CT, MA, Sweden all had
gradual drops in the number of new deaths per day, which started 3-4 months ago.
NJ has 1,800 deaths per 1 million population.
NY has 1,700 deaths per 1m.
MA and CT are around 1,500 deaths per 1m.
Sweden has less than 600 deaths per 1m.
Cases follow the same pattern, with NJ maxing out at almost 3 times more cases than Sweden.
Meanwhile, South Korea at
6 deaths per 1m; New Zealand at
4.4 per 1m; Italy at 588 per 1m; Spain has been around 600 per 1m, but the number of cases is rising again, with deaths soon to follow.
EU nations run the full gamut, from 6 deaths per 1m to 860 deaths per 1m. How is that possible? It certainly isn't the case that New York has 3 times as many high-risk residents as Sweden, Italy, and Spain.
It makes no sense whatsoever to proclaim that these case and death statistics can be explained by "herd immunity."
Again! Explain why Spain is in the middle of a second wave:
Explain why Louisiana had a second wave:
Explain why Colorado had a second wave:
You can't explain it, and repeatedly refuse to explain it, because these second waves and different rates of cases and deaths per capita are result of social distancing and similar measures (both mandatory and voluntary), and puts a gigantic hole in your "herd immunity" theory.
