Cards fumble another one to the BoSox. The 3-0 start now a distant memory.
It's way too early to get excited or depressed about your team. It's a long season and injuries will come into play eventually. It is nice to have baseball back though.
White Sox fan? It's never too early to get depressed about our teams.
White Sox fan?
Not sure if the Cards are trying to rebuild, trying to compete or trying to do both simultaneously. It seems like they're in no man's land, honestly.Good guess but not quite. Cards.
Lost a double header to the Sox, got swept. Lost today by a total of 23-7 lol.

Downright balmy compared to Boston and Chicago, where Temps should be around freezing.44 degrees at Citi Field tonight
Feels like in the 30s...what a joke..
Football weather..
Gonna be a cold week on the east coast..Downright balmy compared to Boston and Chicago, where Temps should be around freezing.
Detroit was smart to move to day games with the NYY; cold but wind out to LC.Gonna be a cold week on the east coast..
32 degrees at gametime, wind blowing in from left at 20 MPH, O/U is 6.Edit: Very poor for batters for the Cubs.
I’ve been screaming for the past few seasons that Ryan Helsley, a guy with a fastball and no movement on it, is no closer. We got to see the product of that in the 9th inning of the first game. 4-2 lead and he walks 4, gives up 2 runs, and the Red Sox tied the game. Good God, what a mess. Mozeliak has steadfastly refused to get a real closer. They didn't make any notable free agency transactions this off-season. The DeWitt family (owners) seems reluctant to blame long-time GM and now higher-level exec, John Mozeliak, who inexplicably fired Mike Schildt a few years ago after leading them to multiple post-season appearances and now seems poised to do the same with the Padres.
I also get the sense that, for the first time I can ever remember, it seems like the Cards may be feeling a little squeezed financially due to declining attendance and fan interest. Not that they're in the poorhouse or anything, but when you're a mid-market team trying to keep up with other big spenders like New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, you need all the revenue you can get.
ETA: Looks like the Cards scored 4 more meaningless runs in the 9th so instead of being outscored 23-7, it's more like 23-11. Whew! Just saved the season lol
Whole bunch of cold, windy games today with feels like temperatures in the 20s and 30s. Definitely not baseball weather. The Dodgers don't like the cold. 7 errors in their last 6 fames and Glasnow lasting only a few innings because it rained a little. They shouldn't have to come east early in the season. You don't play baseball in the cold. It's nonsense.
Until MLB expands to 32, they’re stuck with inter-league games everyday as well.I'd like to see MLB schedule as many divisional games as possible the first 3 weeks of the season. Obviously it's not possible for all games to be divisional, since they're 5 teams in every division, but as many as possible so that if games get postponed due to weather, it will be easier to make them up later in the season.
Yep, that's why I think MLB should maximize divisional games, which can easily be made up, at the beginning and end of the season and the rest from late April through early September, when the weather is generally better.Yankees vs Giants tonight... Very good chance it's going to be a rainout..
Weekend is iffy too.. Schedule nightmare because SF won't be coming to NYC to play the Yankees again..
I'm not a fan of this interleague play.. Once in a while?.. Fine.. But this is crazy,...
