We are way past the "lesser of evils" trope.... is getting old.
The last time I voted for someone that I wanted to be President was when I was bamboozled by Obama's first run.
16 freaking years ago!!!

When I disliked both major party’s candidates, I don’t vote for the lesser of two evils or the least worse candidate. I vote against both by casting a ballot for a third-party candidate. That way I have officially registered my disgust and opposition to both major party candidates.
For the life of me, I can’t see or understand when someone opposes both major party candidates, thinks both suck, why one would pick one or the other. What one has done is encourage the two major parties to continue to nominate bad, disliked and unwanted candidates outside of their own party.
thanks.
the basics: Living is about LIFE.
if we can't protect LIFE at the most Basic level, what is our Purpose in this Life. ???
i am not swayed by the Nonsense on these debate forums; for the most part everything going on in Criminal dee cee is Destroying Life, not protecting Life and making Life better, anywhere.
they don't intend to make Life better, so i don't vote for them.
Simple equation for me, win, win win.
.
There is only one evil in this race. I am voting FOR Trump.
Harris isn't an insane fascist. That distinguish her from her opponent, making her the clear choice.
Because one sucks more and not voting for either is almost the same as not voting. You're helping the shittier candidate win.
Something else to chew on: the consequences of voting takes time to be realized. The situation we're living with now in 2024 has to do with the way people voted - or not - in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. We're still living with the
repercussions of the Great Financial Crisis, the invasion of Iraq, and the nation-building experiment in Afghanistan.
That's 15-20 years ago, but we're still living with those consequences now, still trying to navigate that world.
Imagine with the price of getting it wrong now, in 2024, is in 2036 or 2040.
Maybe we won't be around to see it, but our children (or nieces/nephews in my case) and grandchildren sure will.
I respect it doesn't mean I agree with it but at least you have a reason. Though you could of picked a different candidate that's not destroying the norm of American politics.

Only a person for whom public policy is a complete mystery would write this.... is getting old.

No, I helped neither and I voted against both. To help one or the other, their vote total would have to go up by one. Neither did, neither helped nor even hurt by a third-party vote. Beside who is the lesser evil is subjective, determined in the eye of the beholder. People who advocate voting for the lesser of two evils always assume that lesser of two evils is their candidate. That’s not always the case. In 2020 the lesser of two evils was Biden, in 2016 it was Trump or that is how those people who disliked and didn’t want neither one decided which candidate was the lesser of two evils and voted for the lesser evil which happened to be Trump in 2016 over the more evil Clinton and happened to be Biden as the lesser of two evils over Trump.Because one sucks more and not voting for either is almost the same as not voting. Sure it makes sense, but I am tired of it.You're always voting for the least-worst option. A defensive vote is just as valuable is an offensive one (if I'm making sense).
