Late in August of 09 Mars will be huge in the sky like the size of a full moon being only 32.6 million miles from Earth. This will not re-occur in our lifetimes.
DIG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody with common sense, knows that there is just no way Mars is going to ever be close enough to look like a full moon, with the orbits in their current state.

Sorry it is Jupiter that will appear next to the moon(and suck us all in to its body). You three months to live you swinehoonts.

The nearest passing of Mars to Earth was a few years ago, and it won't happen again for another 200 years. And no, it was not as close as Earth's moon. (If it were, we'd be dead.)

The moon has a radius of 1,737km and is, at its farthest (smallest in our view) is 405,696km from Earth. At its farthest, Earth is 152,097,701 km from the sun, and at its closest Mars is 206,669,000 km from the sun, meaning that the closest earth and mars could possibly be is 54,571,299 km from one another. For mars (radius 3396 km) to appear as large as the moon it would have to be 793,174 km from earth, or 68 times closer than it is physically possible to be

Oh yeah !!! How does that work out in yards Mr. smarty pants?

The moon has a radius of 1,899,606 yd and is, at its farthest (smallest in our view) is 443,674,541 yd from Earth. At its farthest, Earth is 166,336,068,000 yd from the sun, and at its closest Mars is 226,015,967,000 from the sun, meaning that the closest earth and mars could possibly be is 59,679,898,300 yd from one another. For mars (radius 3,713,910 yd) to appear as large as the moon it would have to be 867,425,634 yd from earth, or 68 times closer than it is physically possible to be

Damn!!!! You really are smart, but can you do it in microns? Huh !!! I bet you can't do it in microns Mr. Smarty Pants...

The moon has a radius of 1,736,999,726,400 microns and is, at its farthest (smallest in our view) is 4.05696 × 10^14 microns from Earth. At its farthest, Earth is 1.52097701 × 10^17 microns from the sun, and at its closest Mars is 2.06669 × 1017 microns from the sun, meaning that the closest earth and mars could possibly be is 5.4571299 × 10^16 microns from one another. For mars (radius 3,395,999,304,000 microns) to appear as large as the moon it would have to be 7.93174 × 10^14 microns from earth, or 68 times closer than it is physically possible to be

Damn !!! OK, now I'm gonna need a DNA sample. You have to be some genetically formulated offspring of Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, John Nash and Ronald Dale Harris......OR....

Or you're a friggin ALIEN!!!!

That's it HUh? You're a friggin alien that has already made the trip!!!! :aliens1:

That, or I have access to the super secret resources I call "Google calculator" and "wikipedia." I'm not supposed to talk about them to "normies" as we like to call you guys, but I'll let it slide just this once

Nah,....You're an alien.

:aliens1:

and about that DNA sample?........

Didn't you study your Velikovsky? Mars has been that close before, close enough to influence the Trojan Wars, even.

Velikovsky? He is one of the 10 biggest quacks that ever existed. LOL.

DIG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is not the case.

From NASA:

For the sixth year in a row, a message about the Red Planet is popping up in email boxes around the world. It instructs readers to go outside after dark on August 27th and behold the sky. "Mars will look as large as the full moon," it says. "No one alive today will ever see this again."

Don't believe it.

Here's what will really happen if you go outside after dark on August 27th. Nothing. Mars won't be there. On that date, the red planet will be nearly 250 million km away from Earth and completely absent from the evening sky.

This just in. My alien friends have told me in my head that Mars is actually made of a huge amount of ferromagnetic material and a very big magnetic meteor will be pushing it to eventually replace our moon.
