Not a chance of it happening, because China knows it would get nuked if it tries.

Huh? I thought is was the "buffer zones" in eastern Europe that NATO is threatening that kept Russia from being invaded.

The lack of any such “buffer zone” in Asia is why Litwin keeps fantasizing about China invading.

It’s pretty much case in point as to why Moscow is so paranoid.

So you comment about nukes stopping China from attacking only applies to them?

China shares a direct border with Russia, so yes, a buffer obviously does not apply there. Nor is there any place for a buffer to be.

The US absolutely would have invaded Russia by now if it wasn’t for nukes— and did, in fact, invade Russia in the early years of the USSR— which likewise contributes to their desire for a buffer.

You do realize that nukes were a major part of why the Chinese backed down instead of fighting a larger war......right?

China “not supporting Russia in the scale which one expected” is very different than “China will invade them” 🙄😂

PS: China doesn’t care about your little graph.

The complete China-Russia boarder demarcation was done in early 2000s, marked the end of any boarder dispute between these two countries. This was done between Putin and CCP leaders when Putin announced that Russia-CCP entered into strategic partnership relationship (only one step from military alliance). The outer Manchuria you mentioned was separated from Qing dynasty (when China was still in feudal system) starting 1689. Because Putin asked for CCP's help for Ukraine war, in exchange CCP asked to develop Russia's far east Siberia area. On the surface, Putin seems not against this idea. But behind CCP's back, Putin hated this and have criticized CCP profusely. It doesn't seem that CCP will be getting this sweet deal from Putin.

ps

the same goes to the "red " Hans- empire

... "Let us begin with this evident fact: Muscovy does not belong at all to Europe, but to Asia. It follows that judging Muscovy and the Muscovites by our European standards is a mistake to be avoided."—gonzague de reynold, 19501 In methodological terms, one should de-Europeanise any analysis of Muscovy policy.— thomas gomart, 20062 "

Hitler decided he could not invade the island nation of Britain, so he attacked Russia instead. Xi Jinping decides he cannot invade the island nation of Taiwan, so he attacks Russia instead.

All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.

Except for the fact that China knows full well attacking Russia would lead to a nuclear exchange.

And wants Taiwan exponentially more than anything in Russia.

+1 many Chinese want to get back the land Moscow grabbed from them in 19c. . China is happy to play the long game but they definitely want " their " land back.

and this is my answer :

Your answer is a meaningless gesture that won’t do anything to keep the West from twiddling its thumbs while Aliyev carves another chunk of Armenia.

Nobody in America is stupid enough to begin a years long bombing campaign of Russia.
