The USA/CIA has declared an "Instant President" in Venezuela. He didn't run for election. The CIA lost the May 2018 election won by Maduro with a 60% majority of the popular vote and a participation rate of 47%. It was re-election by Maduro and accepted by International observers. He was elected on a policy to continue the Bolivarian Republic that Hugo Chavez initiated and promoted and was elected 7 times. The PEOPLE have spoken clearly. Could any of this possibly be connected to the fact that Venezuela has 300 billion barrels of proven reserves of OIL? A Socialist OIL economy. No thank you, ExxonMobil, JPMorgan, etc.

I missed this gem...

The CIA wasn't running for election..

Statements like that are why no one takes you seriously.

So long as we don't object to other countries meddling in our politics then go ahead and meddle in the politics of Venezuela, or any other country you want to meddle in. Crap, Obama even got in the middle of the Brexit debate. And we sure haven't been shy about meddling in the politics of other countries. But then don't complain 'bout the other fella doin' the same to us. What's the old saying,"turnabout is fair play"....

And how to you address the fact that when he lost a majority to the opposition in the National Assembly he just created another one to do his bidding, arrested opposition leaders and has used torture and mass arrests to stifle dissent?

What’s that about democracy?

That is exactly democracy in Venezuela, it shows the flaws in democracy. Markets concentrate
wealth in the hands of a capable ethnic minority. Democracy empires the ethnic majority. When the latter begin
to share a larger share of the wealth tyrannical dictators & leaders (Chavez, Madura, Mugabe, Malema, etc,)
arise to meet those demands.

Chavez's swept into power winning the trust and favor of the primarily poor and destitute & the future
of the country has since tended for the most part downward reaching the tragic situation which
confronts that country now. Venezuela is the canary in the coal mine it may be the harbinger of what is to
come with the rise of third world USA!

Furthermore, In the West, there is a tradition of seeing a passionate crowd massed in a square as the voice of the people.
As always there are reporters interviewing demonstrators hoping to hear that they want an end to a
corrupt and evil regime. The Kiev Maidan & Tehrir Square were just further evidence of this phenonomon when
regimes were toppled & things went terrible for Ukraine & Egypt. I hope Trump doesn't follow the advice of
the neo-cons still around like BO followed the advice of Mrs. Clinto & Susan Rice & Victoria Nuland which induced
the previously mentioned tragedies.
