Well, you haven't dove into this issue. The US is essentially blocking vaccines and not helping others to produce vaccines because profits and political power first are American asshole values.

I believe what I said is that we should take care of our own citizens first then share our products. If we were short of insulin I would prefer it all stays here.
As I learned in my Search and Rescue class we are better able to help others if first we are healthy.

The jackass did a few things right. One of them was forbidding export of OUR vaccine doses (OUR= made in OUR COUNTRY) until Americans were protected. Moderna took taxpayer money to make them and Pfizer uses US soil to make them.
The jackass didn’t do much right, but he hit the nail on the head with this one.

Insulin uses American IP, the patent was donated to pharmaceutical companies.

I demand nationalization. Insulin should be 100% free to all citizens, the production funded by the taxpayers who paid for its invention in the first place.

There is here, in America. Something like 1 in 4 diabetics skip doses of insulin.

Because they're being gouged beyond their ability to afford it. This is literally killing people.

When the taxpayer funds pharma research, the pharma corporations should not be making profit from the results as if they had funded it themselves.

Then you must agree that once the president has declared a product OURS its not for export. You want to play word games, thats fine. But the effect of the executive order is that the vaccines belong to this country. That makes them OURS.

Seems its not a problem. While I agree that America doesn't own the vaccines if they can't leave the country then effectively they belong to this country, if not technically.
