US Special Forces Deploy To Mexico For "Training" Mission Following Spy Plane SIGINT Operations

So your claim the US’ “heart wasn’t in the invasion” is clearly a lie.

Where did I state US’ “heart wasn’t in the invasion”?

You asked if there was any excuse for invasion after America failed so miserably to hunt Villa down.

Failed miserably = Your rather tainted opinion.

I pointed out plenty in the US thought so, but FDR was smart enough not to fall for that trap.

So, no. We didn't invade Mexico.

So, no. We didn't invade Mexico.
When the US last invaded the nation of Mexico in earnest the US ended up with much of what is now the Southwest.

If you are talking about the expedition into Mexico later not so successful. That was also over a century ago.
Sending ten percent or so of your entire army makes it pretty damn clear the US was “in earnest”.

Gee, did they catch Pancho Villa?

No?

Did they weaken his cause?

No?

Hmm.

Looks like a failure on every level, once again.

So the desire to invade again after America’s previous failure did, in fact, come up.

So, you once again created words out of whole cloth.

AKA lying.

LMAO.... Those who made jokes of the SIGINT plane flying arcs off Cabo and that there would be no boots on the ground need to speak up.

I was right again. I might catch up with Trump in that department.

Green Berets coming to a cartel near you.

I mean, I am having a hard time understanding the point you are trying to make here, VySky. If this reporting by ZeroHedge is accurate, are you happy that we would be sending our soldiers to possibly die in Mexico to stop the drug trade which is fueled by American drug addicts? Are you upset by this fact? I cannot tell with you taking an ironic tone.

Quoting your stupidity is not “lying”. I get you do so continuously, but that doesn’t change the facts.

Where did I state US’ “heart wasn’t in the invasion”?

Oh, that's right.

You lied.
You claimed the “last time the US invaded in earnest” it seized vast amounts of land from Mexico.

Given the last US invasion “in earnest” was a miserable failure, your claims are clearly not true.

“heart wasn’t in the invasion”

Wrong.
You claimed the “last time the US invaded in earnest” it seized vast amounts of land from Mexico.

Given the last US invasion “in earnest” was a miserable failure, your claims are clearly not true.

Oh really? The US military caught Pancho Villa, the stated goal of the invasion? Let’s see some evidence for that claim.

“heart wasn’t in the invasion”

“heart wasn’t in the invasion”
The US sent roughly a tenth of its entire army into Mexico and still failed to catch Villa.

Pretending America wasn’t utterly in earnest is an outright lie.

Part of the comittment in joining the military is carrying out the duties directed by leadership. One can't pick and choose which orders to carry out unless they are unlawful.

“heart wasn’t in the invasion”

Where did I state that?
When you claimed the US won the last time it invaded Mexico in “earnest”....something the utter failure of the invasion to try and capture Villa proves to be a falsehood

There a reason “training” is in quotes?

I hear special ops are setting up to clean up the entire cartel problem, bing, bang, boom!

So our soldiers will be dying south of the border?

We deployed special forces to kill cartels in Colombia for decades. It did nothing to stop the flow of drugs.

Because the cartels are a symptom, not the cause. They exist because the black market for drugs exists. The black market exists because of the prohibition of drugs.

So long as prohibition exists, there will be cartels and cartel violence.

The cartels are terrorist groups and this is a fact.

They only exist because of current drug policy. They will always exist, as long as there is money to be made.

If one family is imprisoned or killed, another will appear to take its place. This approach to battling drugs has never worked.

The US militarily has a lot of practice with SIGINT in the middle east. They're tracking the cartel's cell phone use. This time we have support from Mexico. It's going to go down hard on the Cartel.

It went down hard on the Medellin Cartel when SIGINT and SOF were deployed against them.

They just got replaced by another cartel. There’s too much money in the black market drug trade. People will fill the vacuum created by dead cartel members.

Yes, the constant failures of the US military in fighting insurgents are indeed rather hilarious.

How’d the US do the last time it invaded Mexico again?

The US occupied Mexico’s most important port for nearly a decade.

You're right in one sense. The root problem is America's never ending desire for illegal drugs and the lack of political will to make it stop. It's like drunk driving. People say they care, but they do it themselves all the time.
