LMAO.... Those who made jokes of the SIGINT plane flying arcs off Cabo and that there would be no boots on the ground need to speak up.

I was right again. I might catch up with Trump in that department.

Green Berets coming to a cartel near you.

========================================

After two weeks of US Air Force RC-135V/W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft conducting multiple signals intelligence (SIGINT) operations along the US-Mexico border and in international waters off southern Baja California—areas controlled by heavily armed drug cartels—the Mexican Senate Commission has approved the deployment of US Special Forces operators to the country for "training missions."

SOFREP's Guy D. McCardle reports that the Mexican Senate Commission has already approved the US Army's 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Green Berets to conduct training exercises at a naval facility in Campeche, a Mexican port city on the Gulf of Mexico.

As of Monday, the exercise is underway and will last through the end of March in conjunction with the Mexican Navy's Infantería de Marina.

There a reason “training” is in quotes?

I hear special ops are setting up to clean up the entire cartel problem, bing, bang, boom!

good for Mexico..we have to threaten you with tariffs, but at least you get we want to help kill the cartels

Zerohedge is a crap source, They don't give any decent information in their articles. This article seems like it is saying that the special forces are doing more than training, while also saying it is only a training mission.

"It's important to say the Green Berets' role is going to be just that: Training," Scott Stewart, vice president of intelligence for international security consultant TorchStone Global, told NewsNation, adding, "It's not like they're sending in the SEALs, the Delta (Force) or the (Army) Rangers. It's not like we are seeing the deployment of combat troops or combat aircraft."

Looks like the Green Berets will be working with a Mexican military force and helping to train them up.

Stupid, stupid post from a make-believe source.

And, gthe

Another Tom Clancy take off.

The US militarily has a lot of practice with SIGINT in the middle east. They're tracking the cartel's cell phone use. This time we have support from Mexico. It's going to go down hard on the Cartel.

Any who is the president of military intelligence
for an organization who thinks that green berets are not combat troops has no idea what they are talking about and their opinion should be completely ignored.

Who does he think were some of the very first troops sent into Afghanistan. It wasn’t Rangers or SEALs.

Hahaha such bullshit.

EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – A Mexican Senate commission has approved the entry of members of the U.S. Army’s 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) into the country starting this week.

The Americans will come fully armed as part of a mission to train the Mexican Navy’s Infantería de Marina (marine infantry) on conventional and non-conventional types of combat.

The training takes place from Feb. 17 through March 30 at the Luis Carpizo naval facility in the state of Campeche, according to Sen. Alejandro Moreno Cardenas, president of the Mexican Senate’s Naval Ministry Commission.

Mexico in the past has let in American military advisers into its territory, but always on training missions, U.S. security experts say.

“It’s important to say the Green Berets’ role is going to be just that: Training,” said Scott Stewart, vice president of intelligence for international security consultant TorchStone Global. “It’s not like they’re sending in the SEALs, the Delta (Force) or the (Army) Rangers. It’s not like we are seeing the deployment of combat troops or combat aircraft.”

Poor VySky, suckered again.

Make Mexico Safe Again!

Good! I've got an inkling to go down to Mexico. I have a taste for some Puerto Nuevo lobster.

Training. cough....cough...cough.... How about that jet man? LMAO :D :D :D :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
What of it? It flew in international waters.

You couldn't pay me to go to Mexico.

Been there, done that. What a dangerous shithole.

Not sure the Green Berets can stop the flow of illegal drugs, human trafficking, etc., though.

But it would feel really good to see them try, Send these cartels to meet their maker.

It should also be considered what would happen if the cartels decided to fight back right here on the streets of America. That could get rather nasty.

The only thing that will stop the drugs and human trafficking would be for the United States to stop demanding them. That ain't gonna happen. If there is money to be made, a way will be found.

Good thing I am not the new dictator. I would lock up every American crackhead and junkie and throw away the key. I would also lock up those that hire the illegal immigrants.

There. Problem solved.

The cartels have been fighting the Mexican military for decades at this point. The pretense that the U.S. would be able to destroy them with a military solution is laughable.

Yeah, it's weird they said it that way, Green Berets are a combat force.

Hopefully they can pass on what they can do in this training course.

What’s laughable is you comparing the Mexican military to the American military.

What of it? It flew in international waters.
Naturally. You don’t know anything about intelligence gathering obviously.

The American military sure has a long track record of success against insurgents, yeah 😂

Mexico is awesome, we go several times a year, by car. No issues crossing the border, although crossing back into the US can be a long wait. I've driven across 5 border crossings, no issues.

Only a 3.5 hour drive from Phoenix gets you to Puerto Penasco, a great beachfront town, been going for over 40 years.

Some of the nicest people in the world, amazing culture, great cuisine and fantastic beaches.

I've also flown into 9 cities in Mexico, no problems ever.
