Let the Syrian people be. No need to plunge the planet in world war for Syria or Israel.

Exactly.

Although, Biblically speaking, this scenario has been prophesied.

Syria was fine until Saudi, CIA, French and other monies started financing al Queda types to foment rebellion. It's just like the other "color" revolutions organized by CIA NGO organizations around the World. We're on the wrong side in this debacle, and on the wrong side of righteousness and humanity. That would make us the "evildoers" to quote "the First Moron," that past presidunce, GW Bush.

Syria serves as the IADS EW capability for a strike on Natanz, and has CW stores that post a significant risk should they fall (as they are increasingly likely to do) into the wrong hands. We should remove or significantly mitigate both of those problems.

Yep! We should give Assad arms and money to protect these stores. That's reality.

Assuming this is true and not the ranting and ravings of a tin foil hat wearer this kind of **** should be illegal. We should not be interfering with other countries period, nor should **** like that be allowed to be kept secret.

I am a registered Independent and really don't agree with dems on any issue and Republicans on a few so I usually vote Republican.

In my case...both. I do not vote along party lines and I also do not have a specific political lean. My stances are based on my own beliefs and logic and not on anything else. You can characterize my stances on specific topics as belonging to "liberals", "conservatives", "socialists", "libertarian" or any other thing. But over all I belong to no party or specific group. For example my stance on gay marriage is considered liberal, while my stance on illegal aliens is considered conservative. (I could go through a whole list of my stances and what they may be considered but I think you get the point)

The only way we should get involved in Syria would be a full scale invasion resulting in the removal of all Assad forces as well as all FSA and other opposition forces. We'd have to install a provisional government under some form of coalition control which would be gradually transitioned to independent control over as much time as it takes to insure stability. Unless we are prepared to do that then we need to back off and focus on humanitarian aid to the refugees.

i'm an independent, and i don't support any more interventionism. it's someone else's turn to handle this kind of stuff. we need to nation build domestically, not engage in pro bono police actions.

if Mexico started gassing civilians, that would be our responsibility to handle, not Saudi Arabia's. the current situation is Saudi Arabia's to handle, not ours. if SA wants to abdicate as regional hegemon, it's on them.

I hit the wrong choice. I am a Conservative and I don't support it.

The only reason Navy, the ONLY reason you don't support it is because the President has a (D) behind his name. Anyone who has been on here for even a month of two knows that if the President were Republican you would be chanting "USA USA USA" and waving flags and proclaiming them a great and incredible world hero. You are too predictable.

As a registered Independent I do not support either ruling party. I do not look to Washington to tell me how to think. I am an issue voter.

I support intervention in Syria and favor regime change. Using a cost-benefit analysis, with 100,000 people dead and chemical weapons being used the Syrian people will be better off with anything but the current regime.
