BBC News - US Congress votes through South Korea trade dealUS lawmakers have approved a long-delayed free trade agreement with South Korea, calling it the most significant in 16 years.
Both houses of Congress voted in quick succession on Wednesday to approve the agreement, as well as pacts with Panama and Colombia.
It will now go to President Barack Obama to be signed into law.
The agreement is expected to increase US exports to the Asian economy by as much as $10bn (£6.5bn).
The free-trade deal with South Korea is the largest US trade pact since it signed the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994.
Look at this...they may even cut farm subsidies a little bit WOW

They have no choice on the subsidies. Either they agree on what to cut or they automatically get cut. We can thank those who held their ground in the budget battle for that.
It's funny, you demeaned those who did that but now are cheering on their results.
I never demeaned ever...any attempts to cut legitimate budget items...my complaint was and IS cutting everything middleclass and poor and giving it to the rich...
Im all for cutting all subsidies....and cutting departmental budgets etc.
1Perry, the problem is not the cutting - everybody wants cuts, but we don't all agree about where the cuts need to be made.
For me, cuts in farm aid is not a reason for celebration - failing to cut the most egregious groups suckling on the government teat (likely because they are also the biggest GOP contributors) while trying to cut Medicare, Social Security, education, healthcare and aid to the largest group producing American made products (farmers) is not what I support.

Do I need to go back and post all the things you said about those who held their line on the budget battle? Read the article. The reason for this happening is because of their actions.
Perry what part of I never complained about cutting things other than items that directly effected the working class middle class or poor..now if some of those that did that were involved in other cuts that I disagreed with I may very well have hammered them...and I shall again..
It's about time the US experiences true ramen
