So what you seem to suggest is that we need both parties in order to achieve balance in this delicate democracy.I responded nowhere near but I will add that we are in danger of it. If the Republicans gain enough power it will be there shortly. If the Republican party keeps dying we will be there as well.
Unfortunately we only have one, currently. One major political party, one major Psy-Op / CultSo what you seem to suggest is that we need both parties in order to achieve balance in this delicate democracy.
Of course not.None of those possible scenarios you mention will lead to "a One Party Totalitarian Dictatorship".
I love seeing the stupidity of Right Wingers.
Actually, five of the nine judges are stolen, being that they were appointed by Republican presidents that could not even come close to winning the popular vote.
The three Trump appointees are definitely illegitimate. We may as well call them Putin's judges.
No, we need no parties in our government. The US Constitution never mentions our anti-constitutional two-party system. So what you seem to suggest is that we need both parties in order to achieve balance in this delicate democracy.
No one expected you to get it.
The irony of these two posts is the funniest thing I've read all day. It's also the dumbest thing I've read all day. Congrats.
Best answer!I choose option 3, stupid question
I got it perfectly, which is why it was so funny. They weren't intelligent posts so it wasn't like it required any deep thinking. No one expected you to get it.
I think the funny thing is that Manchin believes this will help him get reelected (2024). WV needs the 2nd infrastructure bill more than any state in the nation.Senator Manchin will not support addressing the Supeme court.
So like the $3.5 trillion Biden wants it's
going no where fast.
Thanks Senator Manchin.
And you probably think term limits will become a reality, too.No, we need no parties in our government. The US Constitution never mentions our anti-constitutional two-party system.
If we want to end the corruption that factions bring, then remove the virus called political parties from our government. Political parties would still exist just not in the government. Let them lobby like everyone else.
Oh, really?Democrats are no saints…but you can’t say they’ve been pursuing power like this since the Dixiecrats left the party…
Democrats are, in fact, outright fascists - and worse. All of them. There is precedence in other nations when the legislative body, the courts and the leadership are all in one party and in control will try to consolidate that control to create a party that cannot be defeated in any constitutional contest. So, to say that “it can’t happen here” (look up and read the book of the same title) is naive and/or dishonest.
Americans normally have controls in place to prevent this kind of thing. Even with tools like gerrymandering, there are ways to challenge things like that in a legal and constitutional fashion.
Until recently.
Look, when one party is in power, they want their party to retain it. GOP or Dems or whomever else. But there is a legal and constitutional way to do that which involves the people of the nation and a fair court to regulate the legality of it.
The concern over the right stems from the right’s willingness to change the law by any means possible, fair or foul, to gain back and keep control which involves making it harder for legal, American citizens of a race and of certain politics to vote as they cannot muster on their own the necessary votes to win.
We have a court with a least one justice of questionable morals and ability and another who is starting to show a loyalty to a person and not their oath or nation…who are starting to make decisions based on that person they are loyal to. They don’t always, but more often than not, do.
We have Trump and his media machine lying to the people about the election and just about damn near everything else. And everyday, more and more of the GOP act in accordance to his wishes and are slowly abandoning the core elements of conservatism and have certainly put America. Second to Trump. A man who admires dictators.
And there are those elements of the right, who at first glance say, “oh, they’re just radicals” when in fact they are a growing roil of folks who have already stormed the Capitol to change the outcome of a legal election because their guy lost. It wasn’t about America, it was about putting a guy back into power because he represented what they believe in: greed, racism, fear and control over non-whites.
Democrats are no saints…but you can’t say they’ve been pursuing power like this since the Dixiecrats left the party…
350 billion a year. Weren't we spending more than that a year in Afghanistan?I want to see Manchin and Sinema be the saviors of this country along with Moderate House DEMs who refuse to pass a $3.5 trillion socialist bill which cannot be paid for.
I do not think that my assertions about political parties will come to realization in my lifetime. I also doubt that term limits would go anywhere either. There will not be any real advance with our two parties screwing it up.And you probably think term limits will become a reality, too.
Political parties fighting for power and influence will always screw things up.I do not think that my assertions about political parties will come to realization in my lifetime. I also doubt that term limits would go anywhere either. There will not be any real advance with our two parties screwing it up.
I don't have my calculator handy. But I imagine you could research that easily.350 billion a year. Weren't we spending more than that a year in Afghanistan?
You're right that WV needs infrastructure.I think the funny thing is that Manchin believes this will help him get reelected (2024). WV needs the 2nd infrastructure bill more than any state in the nation.
Nah Biden screwed up Afghanistan because he is a moronI don't have my calculator handy. But I imagine you could research that easily.
But I would imagine surrendering Afghanistan was part of Biden's plan to get more money for social programs.
I suspect that Manchin speaks for other democrat senators who oppose this insane spending bill but dont dare say so for fear of being primaried. You're right that WV needs infrastructure.
But I hope he does not cave in to the Progressives who want to hold the infrastructure bill hostage until they get the $3.5 trillion bill full of social programs for which we cannot afford.
this is the new talking point on white wing radio, huh?Poll question
Keep in mind, we have a 6-3 Right Wing Supreme Court. We have Right Wing state legislatures in a vast majority of states. In 2022, we may very well have a Right Wing House and Senate, one that is growing ever more extreme in both fealty and zeal. And, in 2024, they may be able to shoe-in another Trump, a charismatic cult leader.
Which one produces fake ballots and alters votes while the election is happening.Want to know which party wants a dictatorship? Which one wants to make it hardest to vote and make the most votes not count?
