Uplifting

"Sometimes the thing getting in the way of us knowing Jesus isn’t a lack of truth – but rather the lies about God that we are holding onto!"
Could there be areas of your life where you have heard the truth – been taught God’s truth, but you are choosing to be deaf to it?
You might be not listening, causing the LIFE which Jesus has to offer to be compromised?

‘God Helped Me’: Altadena Man Fights Flames To Save His Home

Makas Dasigenis, a 69-year-old Altadena resident, battled the raging Eaton Fire for six hours to save his home and those of his neighbors. Using ingenuity, a generator, and a water pump,
he drew water from a pool to fight the flames after realizing his neighborhood was under threat.

Despite the danger, Dasigenis credits his faith and determination for his success, vowing to honor his promise of gratitude when he returns to Greece.

A closer look at Solomon.
Pastor Brett also shows how to connect the dots in the Scriptures.

A must-watch.

Psalm 23

A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my shepherd,
I will not be in need.
2 He lets me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For the sake of His name.

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6 Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life,
And my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever.

It was a surprise to see that it's about a Christian family (based on writings by Corrie Ten Boom), since it wasn't mentioned in the synopsis.
I know it's a horrible situation, to say the least - but it's uplifting because it's a triumph of faith.
The "debate" between Christians and atheists in the concentration camp, is quite interesting.

THE HIDING PLACE

True story of a loving family in Holland who helped hide Jewish citizens in their home and were then sent by the Gestapo to a Nazi death camp in 1944.

Psalm 33

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Jesus Revolution is a 2023 American Christian drama film directed by Jon Erwin and Brent McCorkle.
Based on the autobiographical book of the same name co-written by Greg Laurie, the film follows the teenage Laurie (Joel Courtney), Christian hippie Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie),

this is Jamie's Testimony of how God intervened in her life.

she worked in a prison ministry for women teaching music, God used that and moved her to be a successful christian Recording artist...

christian testimony is my bread and butter for encouragement. all unique, but God is the Creator.

Your love, is all the love I need.

amen Tosca

Jamie wrote another song that speaks to me; she just started recently and it is all a Joy to listen to....

Lyrics:
There I go, falling down again
Trying to run a race I can’t win
Sometimes I just wanna bow out
I wanna throw in the towel now

My mistakes try twisting the truth
But I know Somebody who loves to use
All the little broken pieces
Bringing strength to my weakness

Oh, You’re telling my soul

It’s not too late, even in the mess I made
I turn around and see You standing
You’re giving me a million chances

It’s Your grace on grace
I’ll never understand it
You’re giving me a million chances
Keep giving me a million chances

There you go making all things good
Work it out like You said you would
There’s no reason to doubt You
You know I can’t live without You

So proud to say I know this girl when she was just a young girl with a dream singing in her basement. I knew she had something so special. And I was able to do a song with her at a young age and now look at her shine like the light. She truly is I am honored to be a fan. Thank you for making your music Jamie. Never forget you inspire so many.

@marlenerochin3404 I’m just a little over 2 years sober and came across your comment. I am going to say a big prayer for your sister and I pray for your family to get their loved one back from addiction! God is my healer and I pray she feels the same love I was given from him to break free! God bless you!
