Wow - the comments are awesome!!!

here are some:

I just turned 58 and have loved this song for most of my life. I’ve always shed tears when I hear this song. Today however after I shed a little for a very beautiful rendition of this old classic, most of the tears I shed were from reading these comments. God bless this young man and may He bless all of you who have or will watch this video.
This young man is a metal singer????? WOW. THIS song didn't come from his diaphragm, it came from his soul. It lifted my soul immediately. Beautiful.
This is Grandma from Texas. I’m speechless. I have been a Christian since I was 16 years old. I am nearly 70 now. I have heard this song more times than I can count. I have heard it sung by the best through the years. I am thinking that you are the one who got it right, really right. I imagine that all the Angels in Heaven stop,,, and hush when you lift your voice and praise God with this precious old hymn. I found your rendition a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I purchased it and listen to it repeatedly. I prefer watching you perform it on YouTube because the emotion you bring is so real and so touching that it makes me weep every single time. It is as if you know HIM of Whom you sing. Thank you for this. I pray you never forget where you come from and Who’s you are. Thank you

I’m 75. Guess all of us oldies are here listening with tears running downing our cheeks. I have been walking with Jesus for over half a century, and never heard this sung better. The sense of this gathering of my generation here to listen is really a reassuring moment! There are many of us left who have not bowed the knee to Baal.
Within the first minute I swear I could feel my father. Crying tears of joy by 2 minutes. Dan this is such a beautiful gift you have given me. GOD BLESS YOU.

My God in Heaven!!!! I have NEVER heard a more beautiful, powerful and touching rendition of this old hymn. I sat here crying for the first time in ages. I had become so jaded with "church" and was wondering if my service was ever really meaningful. You killed that fear in me and gave me something I thought was lost in me forever. Thank you from an old retired and now breathless preacher.

Am blessed. I am from Manipur, India and we are going through the greatest crisis ever of our lives. In times like now, this song is no less than a miracle. God bless you.
I never realized how one song can save so many people and how it can touch the hearts of millions...

It may not have been your intention but this rendition broke my pride and helped me acknowledge I need God in my life again. Thank you and God bless.

You’ve now touched the lives of more than 13,000,000 people with a precious song, performed with incredible passion. God bless you Dan.

This song has been intruding in my thoughts lately. I realize the lyrics could be referring to Jesus Christ.

I'll never Find Another You

There's a new world somewhere
They call the Promised Land
And I'll be there someday
If you will hold my hand
I still need you there beside me
No matter what I do
For I know I'll never find another you

There is always someone
For each of us, they say
And you'll be my someone
Forever and a day
I could search the whole world over
Until my life is through
But I know I'll never find another you

It's a long, long journey
So stay by my side
When I walk through the storm
You'll be my guide, be my guide

If they gave me a fortune
My virtue would be small
I could lose it all tomorrow
And never mind at all
But if I should lose your love, dear
I don't know what I'd do
For I know I'll never find another you

But if I should lose your love, dear
I don't know what I'd do
For I know I'll never find another you
Another you
Another you

Is this supposed to be a Christian song?

A testimony.

He was touched by God.
He wrote the song.

John Lennon was touched by God.
He wrote this song.

Testimonies.

My first child’s father had this LP, and I when I was pregnant I used to listen this repeating. When our daughter finally was born and I got her on my arms for the first time, the radio started to play this song. It felt like a miracle.

When I was 6 my mom used to play this song on TV. I think it was the first song in English I ever heard. I later used it to take refuge from the pain caused by the dictatorship in my country. I always I dream of a world without armed conflicts, dictatorships or wars

There is no other musical piece in the world that better conveys the concept of peace, freedom, and solidarity. In its simplicity, it's a masterpiece that is easily understood by everyone. Honor and respect to John

So I looked up, Fire and Rain.

On the VH1 series Storytellers, Taylor said the song was about several incidents during his early recording career.
The second line, "Suzanne, the plans they made put an end to you", refers to Suzanne Schnerr, a childhood friend of his who died by suicide while he was in London, England, recording his first album.[5][6]
In that same account, Taylor said he had been in a deep depression after the failure of his new band the Flying Machine to coalesce (the lyric "Sweet dreams and Flying Machines in pieces on the ground";
the reference is to the name of the band rather than a fatal plane crash, as was long rumored). Taylor completed writing the song while in rehab.[7]

In 2005, during an interview on NPR, Taylor explained to host Scott Simon that the song was written in three parts:[8]

Just yesterday mornin', they let me know you were gone

Suzanne, the plans they made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can't remember who to send it to

I've seen fire and I've seen rain

I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Won't you look down upon me, Jesus?

You gotta help me make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
And I won't make it any other way

Oh, I've seen fire, and I've seen rain

I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Been walking my mind to an easy time

My back turned towards the sun
Lord knows, when the cold wind blows
It'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line
To talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

Oh, I've seen fire, and I've seen rain

I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you, baby
One more time again now

Thought I'd see you one more time again

There's just a few things coming my way this time around now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you, fire and rain now
Another lonely day, fire and rain

"The song was as close to pure inspiration as I've ever experienced. The song wrote itself.
It was written by something outside myself, through me,"
- Carole King

Still thinking of my walk yesterday, and that song.
The message.

God works in mysterious ways.

I'm dedicating this song to you who's feeling down, aching and troubled.
You're not alone. You don't have to be.

"You've Got A Friend"

When you're down and troubled,
And you need some love and care,
And nothing, nothing is going right
Close your eyes and think of me,
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night.

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend

If the sky above you grows dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind begins to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
Soon you'll hear me knocking at your door

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, running, yeah, yeah, to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
And I'll be there, yes I will.

Now, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold?
They'll hurt you, yes, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them,
Oh, but don't you let them

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, running, yeah, yeah, yeah, to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes I will.
You've got a friend

You've got a friend
Ain't it good to know, you've got a friend?
Ain't it good to know?
Ain't it good to know?
Ain't it good to know, you've got a friend?

Oh yeah, now
Oh, you've got a friend
Yeah, baby
You've got a friend
Oh yeah...
You've got a friend

WE JOIN TOGETHER HERE TODAY,
TO HELP TWO PEOPLE ON THEIR WAY,
AS LEAH AND CHRIS START THEIR LIFE TOGETHER,
AND NOW WE'VE REACHED THEIR SPECIAL DATE,
WE'VE COME TO HELP THEM CELEBRATE,
AND SHOW THEM HOW MUCH WE LOVE THEM TOO,
HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH
HALLELUJAH,

AS LEAH IS WALKING UP THE AISLE,
AND CHRIS LOOKS UP AND GIVES A SMILE,
THE LOVE THAT FLOWS BETWEEN THEM FILLS THE CHURCH,
WITH LEAH'S FRIENDS AND FAMILY ON HER SIDE,
SHE REALLY IS THE BLUSHING BRIDE,
WITH LOVE AND PRIDE THEY LEAD HER
HALLELUJAH,
HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJA
HHALLELUJAH,
WITH THE PRIEST AND THE FAMILY WHO LEAD THE PRAYERS,
WE SAY OUR LINES AND THEY SAY THEIRS,
I GUIDE THEM THROUGH THE CEREMONY,
AND IN THIS HOUSE OF GOD ABOVE,
THEY JOIN THEIR HANDS TO SHOW THEIR LOVE,
AND SAY THOSE MOST IMPORTANT WORDS THAT YOU HEARD,
HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH
HALLELUJAH,

HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH
