University of Nebraska is getting out of the discrimination business.

Everyone wanted to pander to the woke movement but it is going by way of the horse and buggy.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has closed its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office and eliminated its vice chancellor position.

In an email, UNL Chancellor Rodney Bennett said to the campus community on Tuesday that the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will be closing, according to the Lincoln Journal-Star.

Maybe they can start an all white college. You know, like the good old days.
UNL is one of the whitest public schools in the country. My daughter graduated from UNL. The only non-white students I ever saw were either on athletic scholarships or foreign exchange students sponsored by their respective governments.

Tempest in a teapot. This shit’s gotten old. It’s another layer of bureaucracy driving up the already ridiculous costs of higher education.

Is that the schools fault? Was the school under investigation for discrimination?

Hmmm..... and you know that for a fact how? I guess cause my sister who is currently at UNL as a "non-white" must just be there on an athletic scholarship (nope) or was a foreign exchange student. (not). God forbid a non-white works her way through college but you can't see that, can you?

Sponsored by rich white guys who spend tens of millions of dollars to make sure that blacks and other minorities donuts get a break:

Probably not because the school knows more than someone who just "sees" a non-white and assumes they must only be there on scholarship or as an exchange student.

Drove through Nebraska once. No: twice.

My god what a forsaken piece of sod that is. How on earth could any human ever live there? I was about to go insane just from looking at all the corn. My only thought was "get the **** out of here, and DON'T EVER come back."

So: thats what I did. (y)

This sounds like a very rigorous, scientific, controlled, and peer-reviewed study.

Yes because the whole state is just one big cornfield engineered to keep snobby people out. And it's working!! 😄

Traditionally White Colleges & Universities?

I dont see a thing wrong with that. I'd support it. At least as long as HBCUs exist. (y)

Please, calm down. I'm simply saying that UNL has an undergrad population of 20K and compared to other schools of similar size, POC are more rare at UNL, located in one of the whitest towns in one of the whitest states. Not saying it is deliberate or sinister.

And BTW, as I said, my daughter graduated from UNL and from a parent's standpoint, she could not have picked a better school. She had a great experience and got a quality education. She was in a low crime town (Lincoln) where the residents absolutely live to support that school. As her dad, I couldn't be happier.

Sorry I was just a little offended and that hit close to home on how people characterize some people they just "see".

Sounds like they've decided to keep it that way.

The thread's topic shows they now actively support racial segregation.
