Yes, I'd say it damn well is.

"It is illegal to threaten another person with a criminal act that will result in death or great bodily injury. Whether the threat is made in person or is written in a note or through any electronic means, once you have made a threat, you are likely to face criminal charges."

Looking into it, they did. The Mississippi Democratic Minority leader, as well as plenty of her colleagues, condemned her for her statements, removed her from committee assignments, and asked for her to resign (she didn't though).

I know this person is an elected official, but you'd be hard-pressed to see the same sort of condemnation much of the right.

If it is a credible threat then it is actionable. Threats to the life of presidents and former presidents are taken very seriously.
