Under Trump, USPS Slowdown Sparks Medication Delivery Concerns

he U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has warned that nearly every state in the country may not be able to see mail-in ballots delivered in time amid a slowdown in postal delivery prompted by controversial changes made by the agency's new postmaster.

The warning was delivered in a flurry of letters released to states on Friday night, just less than two weeks after the USPS had assured the public in a statement that it would have the capacity to deal with the additional volume created by mail-in voting amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that voters consider alternatives to casting their ballots in person in the upcoming general election, with mail-in voting being a primary alternative.

However, Trump and other Republicans have railed against the use of mail-in-voting, despite the president himself requesting a mail-in ballot to vote in Florida's primary.

And now, with a slowdown at the USPS, under changes made by new Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, which critics have claimed are being made to assist Trump's election bid, there are warnings that the voting process isn't the only thing being affected.

It's OK, after he rigs the election he will finish off Obamacare and nobody will be able to get meds anyway. Then they will dismantle Social Security, so that it pays Wall Street it's last funds before dying (A GOP dream since it's inception). Then we can get rid of pesky worker protection laws, all environmetal regs, and have a capitalist utopia, with a prolitariat we can abuse even further! Hell we mmay even be able to bring back large scale sweat shops and child labor, and make REAL progress! Then to get rid of those pesky term limits! Round up and jail the enemy of the people (the media), install OANN as America's only news source....

Maybe we can just make the Trumps like a "royal" family, just like the next Trump heir just inherits the presidency, would be so much better and easier than elections, then the Trumps can just select the senate and hosue members, I mean that would be awesome right?

Yep. useless magazines and ads and to people who are too lazy or dumb to set up auto payments for bills. I mail ONE thing a month and that is to a small fry company that services my soft water conditioning system. Most all the companies are going paperless. The post office has lost 60 billion just in the last decade. It is useless ow except for people in the hills of Virginia.

Definitely true. But you send the stuff that doesn't matter through USPS. The items that are important and have to be there go through the others.

LOL. Fedex makes money. The post office loses money because they are dumb and WERE mismanaged. Trump is dealing with that now.

You seriously send hand written letters to people? You MAIL out bills instead of autopay? You don't use Fedex over snail mail. Seriously?? People don't even send Christmas cards anymore. If it wasn't for Oprah magazines and junk mail, the Post office would be twiddling their thumbs. Hmmmm, come to think of it, that is why they lose so much money.

Nobody, just millions daily but then again when one hundred seventy thousand dead from covid is no big thing, who cares about the mail, right?
