Ukrainian Support for War Effort Collapses

Making excuses for Russia's aggression by blaming "the West" and "Ukrainian corruption"?

That's propaganda spewed by the Kremlin, @anatta.

Try to keep in mind that rewarding aggressors can take a bad turn - and do so quickly.

"Just get out of it all" tends to go by the wayside when aggressors become emboldened, which is precisely what trump and his political party are doing.

More like the above is propaganda being spread by the anti-Trumps.

sanctions havent slowed down th Russian war machine. If you get into secondary sanctions, that's a burden on the USA imports like from India
Besides China is the big buyer or Russian energy. think Trump will add more foolish sanction to the tariffs on China?

IMHO, Trump will take the path of least resistance (favor Putin over Zelenskyy) and ‘taco’. After all, it will cost the Europeans less to appease Trump and Putin than to appease Zelenskyy.

In short, Trump has crushed the morale of our ally because he switched sides.
This bears repeating. What happened between the last poll and now? Not much on the ground. But Ukraine lost its major sponsor and ally.

Putin owns Trump, so he owns Ukraine.

I wonder how much the Euros buy into the "Russia is coming for them next" meme

You all know Russia cant be trusted, yet still side with them.

Its safer to say no one in the world should be trusted. Nations have interests. That usually is what guides their policies

It says a lot about someone's character when it appears that they are openly rooting for Ukrainians to be slaughtered.

Most Ukrainians now favor ending the war with Russia through negotiations, as support for fighting until victory has dropped sharply since the early days of the conflict. Although their hopes for joining NATO and the European Union have faded and approval of U.S. leadership has plummeted, Ukrainians still see the EU, U.K. and U.S. as key to ending the war. Yet, most doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Its a surprise only to those who promote the war in the comfort that it is others who pay in blood. Why would they not be surprised there is fatigue in Ukraine? They were misled by the western propaganda that never publishes Ukrainian casualties. Add to that the astronomical claims of Ukrainians inflicting 10-1 casualties on Russians. The polls on fatigue comes as a surprise to those who swallowed those lies because it is not normal for a population to suffer war fatigue if there are reports of zero casualties accompanied by claims of its armies inflicting 10-1 casualties. But I suppose the Ukrainian public knows better. The polls in Ukraine are showing fatigue because- unlike our forum members- they know better

Good thing is I sense Trump is going to put an end to the carnage. Trump may not get credit from war mongers but he has shifted the narrative of both Ukraine/Eu and Russia. They are now increasingly talking but about what kind of conditions they want for cessation of hostilities

These same people would have been rooting for Tojo in 1941.

Why, exactly, should Putin be rewarded for having taken land from Ukraine?

Russia holds 20% of Ukr. Ukr cannot take back the territory. Russia is still making slow gains It's about the territory, not rewards
Post #26

Oh, dear. Ceding Ukrainian territory to putin would be rewarding the aggressor/invader, whether @anatta wants to accept this or not.

Perhaps the word "appeasement" is more acceptable?

Enough (unanimously among NATO nations) to agree to significantly increase their defense spending.
The same error over and over. Its not the nation's who "agreed" to increase spending . It is their globalists governments who push for the increase . What country in Europe has publicly approved the increase in spending thru public referendum ? No country .
