This has the very real potential for ballooning into Trump's first bona-fide international crisis.
How many people here trust Trump to handle this calmly, without bias and with full consideration of the needs of our European allies?
Russia knows that the President of the United States is weak and compromised. Thus they have a very good chance of getting away with this.
"Maybe it's Russia's fault, maybe it's Ukraine's fault. Who knows? Putin denies he started it. What do you want me to do? Go over there and start WWIII?"
