U.S. rejects offer from China for preparatory trade talks: FT
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration has rejected an offer from China for preparatory trade talks this week ahead of high-level negotiations scheduled for next week, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people briefed on the talks.
The proposed trip by Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen and Vice Finance Minster Liao Min was offered to pave the way for talks between Chinese Vice Premier Liu He and top U.S. officials set for Jan. 30-31.
COMMENT:-
And why would Mr. Trump need any preliminary discussions held since he will go to China and emerge with an even greater "Great Deal" than the one that he got from the DPRK and the one he is going to get from the Turks?
I mean, the Chinese are - obviously - totally awed by the way that Mr. Trump is in total control of the government of the United States of America and are - equally obviously - fully aware that the Legislative Branch will approve of anything that he tells it to approve of.
