More than two-thirds of women experience harassment while running, a study has found, as victims say they no longer report abuse to the police as it has become an “everyday occurrence”.

The study, by the University of Manchester, found women surveyed in north-west England experienced threats, verbal abuse and had objects thrown at them while jogging.

The study found the most common type of abuse was verbal abuse, with 58% of female respondents saying they had experienced it; 19% of women also reported being followed while out running and 7% reported being flashed at.

We need to do a better job of raising boys. We need to teach them, for example, that you don't harass and catcall women out in public.

This is not at all surprising the UK is starting to look more and more like a lawless wasteland. And I think it's only a matter of time before it's renamed North Somalia.

UK citizens need to quit keeping calm and carrying on and demand your government do what you want.

I suspect it's a cultural and social issue - either they learned incorrect behavior, or they developed it because correct behavior was not taught.

So wear a GoPro and get it on video. If a crime was committed, present it to the police, otherwise post it on social media.
