Tucker Carlson Gets Challenged In Public

What ruined the media was affirmative action, since it allowed shallow criteria, that had nothing to do with brains, to supersede talent and merit. Now the media is full of morons who can no longer do investigative reporting. It must look like magic to them. Now we have to many talking heads, with handlers and writers. Fox by being number 1 has the money to buy the best talent and CNN gets the leftovers.

Are you aware that Tucker Carlson broke the Corona Virus story on national TV. He gave everyone, including President Trump a heads up to what would be one of the worse national tragedies. Good thing Trump was watching, since Fauci and his people were clueless at that early stage. He should have got an award for that. The NYT got a Pulitzer for the Russian collusion delusion which turned out to be a fraud. They never gave it the award back for being wrong. The left is weird that way. I guess the Pulitzer prize has become the Con Artist of the Year Award. You guys seem to be practicing for this years award.

Yes, I can. Poor hapless Paul appears to be the first of many to get convicted and go to jail. There should be hundreds more.
Horn guy and the idiot in Pelosi's office should get a pretty stiff sentence.
But horn guy will probably be called insane and not serve hard jail time.

I don't think Tucker should be censored. I think that he should be accountable for the consequences of his speech. After all, he reaps the financial benefits. Why he should not also reap the downside?

Non sequitur. His speech is false and often deliberate lies. I did not like it when Angela Davis did that in class at UCLA.
 
The thing about people like Carlson, Limbaugh and Hannity is they don't care how many people they hurt or cause to die.

There has to be a diagnosis for that.

That is only the first, actually and he 1) plead guilty 2) cooperated, 3) even though he was prepared he did not participate in the worse offenses.

As I have noted elsewhere, Tucker gives rich heirs and privileged jerks bad names. He has none of the decency of Bill Buckley or even the folksy charm of (the admittedly disgraced) Bill O’Reilly.

Trump is the one who suggested violence by police and his supporters, even proposing torture and war crimes. If/ when Tucker gets around to condemning Trump’s actions, stops making the kinds of racial comments that incite violence towards immigrants, people might warn up to him.

He way more rude than this guy and yet we're supposed to feel sorry for him?
 
This is one of those situations where both people are detestable. Tucker for obvious reasons and Montana Man for being classless and confrontational in public.

No one decrying division and decline in civility can cheer on either of them.

Many times .

He is Standard by good UK probing and pressing standards .

Have never seen him be personally abusive or apparently deliberately misrepresent .

If you cannot handle robust questioning and even interrogation it is not too much of a stretch to think that is why America never wins anything these days and has not done since WW2 .You are soft .

Tucker is rude to guests and thinks he knows more about any subject than they do even if they have been working in that field for decades or are a professor.
He's smug and most of his guests refuse to come back because his style is so condescending.

If you think that's a good interview style then I don't know what to say and no, he is nothing like a strong interview in the UK as UK TV journalists are not allowed to show their political leaning while that's all Tucker does.

You would need to show evidence , though I frankly could not care less as he is as good as anybody as I have seen anywhere .

Yes , the BBC should strive for independence-- as per charter -- but their standards have dropped considerably . Tragically .But still way above US channels overall .A country ten miles .

I suspect you need to distinguish between what seems to be a lack of independence to someone who is already holding pre-conceived ideas and cannot believe that their preconceptions

are being decimated publicly due to lack of logic , evidence etc . The fate of so many that bleat and whine when confronted by dogged interviewers .imho .

And the precise reason for decimation when they come so badly prepared to defend a position against Mr C . My viewing experience .
