Trust God and call it a day? I saw that bumper sticker this morning. I think it's stupid. How about trust yourself instead?

Or do you contend that Jesus faked execution made the world better? If so, list how.

Make sure to include the 35 billion people tortured and killed because they refused to worship a stupid story

Do you have to be taught how to breathe? Of course not, it comes naturally. Any religion has to be taught, it doesn't come naturally. As a Catholic child, it was forced on me and the older I got the more I knew, for me, it was all bullshit. Every single thing they were teaching me about religion, doesn't exist. Don't tell me god cares about his children as they starve to death around the world and no gods come to save them and that is just one thing in a world full of problems.

That's stupid. At seven was I supposed to understand what the priest was saying in Latin? All I knew was stand, sit, kneel and say amen. For what reasons, I had no idea. On Saturdays I had the special treat of going into a dark booth with a screened window a priest sat behind and forgave my sins along with the hail mary's and our fathers. Silly stuff, like this guy had some kind of special powers to forgive what Catholics considered sins. Just stupid.

I will consider a belief system of any kind when no child is starving.

Any being that would bring anyone into a life of starvation is no god, but a monster. "Christ the Savior" supported child slavery and was a very large sexist who relegated women to slavery.

He's not a modern god but a hold over from a time when people could only conceive a punishing god.

sounds rather silly to me.

have you considered a real Bible church ?

they are getting fewer to find, but maybe check the near by town. my wife was of the bead praying people, but looked beyond that kind of non biblical ways of doing things. mostly a lot of paganism and christianity all mixed up; and then they say all is well cause they said so.

it wasn't right.

consider the Millennium in bible prophecy; Jesus comes back and fixes the whole corrupt world.

we have enuf food to feed the world 2 times over...........but we don't.

we stick Corn Ethanol in our gas tanks when there is more than enuf petroleum to feed the tank.

most modern famines were created by man, start there. do i need to supply another article on that one too.???

That is the point.

Eating food is a sin?

OK fasting I understand. It is a decision made by adults to show some distorted love for a god who punishes the meek promising they will "inherit the earth" although no Christian has ever explained what that means.

But forcing children to fast?

Sorry, but by NO STANDARD is that healthy.

Why would a god make the demands the god of christians makes. That's one incredibly insecure god!!!!!!

Were I the god of people I would want to hear singing and see dancing, happy people not suffering and starving folk. This god of Christians is a mean mother****er who likes to see people in agony.

Why, why, why do you folks never let up? Can't you respect the fact I do not believe in your god no matter how many times you tell me I'll regret it, no matter how many Bible verses get spit at me and no amount of superiority from Christians will ever change my mind about my beliefs.

The way you were treated does not mean there is no God...Jesus was also treated badly by supposedly religious leaders of his day...in spite of that he refused to turn away from God...he worshiped God, not people,..

You're forgetting "the strap".

I will NEVER forget the corporal punishments dished out by nuns. Today, they would be charged with child abuse....rightfully so.

In any event it was clear they really, really enjoyed their work!!!

Yeah, I know the story. I was treated like every other Catholic kid, with a ruler, well guys. Some of those nuns, if you didn't find god in a catechism, they would beat him into you, very loving I might add.
