Trust God and call it a day? I saw that bumper sticker this morning. I think it's stupid. How about trust yourself instead?

after years of tormenting you, your Skills are very good at handling his constant attempts at irritating you over your beliefs.

i have tried various methods also, but so far they splash off like a duck in water.

I wonder if he's ever thought about dealing with that child's father.

I'd get the biggest father with the biggest arm to lay into the adult who either was, or found, "the guy with the biggest arm" that laid into the child.

Some can't think past their nose.

Well, heck, Rev. On that note, please enlighten us all on the matter of "child discipline".

Why don't you explain your rationale and thought processes as to why you posted your wishes and desires to "find the guy with the biggest arm and lay into offenders" which are defenseless minor-aged school children? Why seek out the "guy with the biggest arm" to hit a child with a wooden device if not to inflict the maximum amount of physical harm upon the little child? Can a man or a woman with a 'smaller arm' not hit the defenseless little minor-aged school child with enough force to properly "discipline" the little "offender"?

Lol - have you been in a position where losing everything hangs over your head?
I gave the problem to the lord, and had said I'll humbly accept His will.
And indeed.......had put my trust in Him!
It was the most peaceful night I've had in such a long time.
A burden LITERALLY being lifted off my shoulders right after I gave the problem to the Lord. That's how it felt like.


“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest," is not an empty promise.



I don't know why you need to make a big deal out of something so simple!
Here is the simple solution:

We'll do us.


Why do you let how others live their lives - as in, trusting in the Lord - be a problem to you?
Isn't your own problem enough?
To get in a snit over how others deal with theirs - isn't that stupid?

I was at the bottom of my personal barrel decades ago. I read the Bible, asked god for help and got nothing but more cravings for heroin. So, I decided to take it upon myself to end my addiction that I had for twenty plus years and move to Florida with the intent of not seeking out heroin once I got here and that's exactly what I did. No god's, no drugs to detox, just me weathering my personal storm. I'm now thirty five years clean of heroin and your god didn't help me out one little bit.

christianity goes beyond handling the hassles of modern life, much more.

this Life is Boot Camp basically, we have a whole new life waiting in Eternity..........that IS the point. and a good place to start your life is what your End will look like.

good move. at a rehab i volunteered for, most of the issues were when people went home to old friends who were addicts and back to addiction they went.

you did the RIGHT thing thankfully and are alive today. thank you Jesus.

even are Atheists here know that, but they like playing the fake Atheist games on this forum. they almost sound clever like they are the first to come up with the idea that we are our own god................we are not. we are still dependent on God for every breath and heart beat.

every. single. day. without fail. God's mercies are new every morning, so go with God and pray for help...........and he will. God just doesn't come down with trumpets and angels announcing what he does. that is more like a Politician of some kind LOL

Generally speaking - just because you feel that something didn't work well for you, don't assume that it won't work for others.
It did for me! BIG TIME!
It worked for others as well, based on testimonies given by other folks.
