Trumps post Va. attack comment and lack thereof: The most disgusting to date.(

"These groups seem to believe they have a friend in Donald Trump in the White House. I don't know why they believe that. They don't see me as a friend in the Senate. I would urge the president to dissuade these groups that he's their friend... I'm glad they don't like me. It would bother me if they did."

-Lindsey Graham on Fox News.

I think Congressional Republicans have a horrific history when it comes to racial issues, yet the condemnation of White Supremacy in general and Naziism in specific does not seem to be a difficult bar for them to reach. There may be White Supremacists in their camp, but they seem wholly unconcerned with the possibility of alienating them.

Trump's pathetic statements are woefully inadequate. Trump must do two things; he needs to make a serious statement condemning the violence, the white supremacists who perpetrated it, and their murderous ideology, and he needs to do it on live TV, not on Twitter. Second, he needs to fire Steve Bannon. Today.

The White House is just released a statement including White nationalists and the KKK in yesterday's statement.

What is this statement, and who said it?

The cancer won't go away with the leaving of Bannon any more than Kelley brought professionalism to the White House. The problem isn't the people the President has surrounded himself with, it's the person who decided to surround himself with those people in the first place.

This is obviously radical hard-right terrorism, and yet all the POTUS can do in his transparently tepid and disingenuous remarks is mumble about 'many sides'.

Terrorist attack.webp

I agree, but we can't honestly expect him to resign. We can, and should, demand that he do the aforementioned things, namely make an actually appropriate statement, on live TV, and fire Steve Bannon. That would at least make it look like he's taking this seriously.

Why wont Trump use the words Radical Conservative Terrorism? By not using the exact wordage we want him to, he is complicit and sympathetic to the nazi terrorist. That's how this works, right conservatives? If Obama was a muslim terrorist sympathizer for refusing to associate terrorist acts with the entire group, Trump must also be a terrorist sympathizer for refusing to do the same, right?
So your admitting Obamas was wrong then or that your full of crap now, which is it?

Firing Steve Bannon (imagining such a thing would happen in the first place) = rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I listened in utter shock and bewilderment at how a POTUS with obvious racial tendencies and anger issues commented on the attack in Virginia.

First, Trump actually commented on how we should learn to love one another. This from someone who has been a lifelong bully and who has resorted to calling his adversaries and critics virtually every demonstrative name imaginable. In addition, this is the same person who actually headed the "birther" fake news conspiracy.

In addition, if Trump disrespecting fallen members of the intelligence community with his post election speech at CIA headquarters wasn't bad enough, Trump managed to use the Va. tragedy as an opportunity to comment on the low unemployment numbers.

Lastly, what Trump didn't say was as disheartening as what he did say. No denouncing of the Alt Right or White Supremacy movement whatsoever. Obviously, David Duke is right about where Trump's support comes from.

Once again, Trump proves what a worthless human being he really is and why his supporters truly are "deplorable".

That's it. Be filled with hate. With people like you the world has no chance. Why do you hate so much and have to call others names? You are no different than those you rail against. Trump actually addressed "all sides" and that eats you up because you feel the right to continue spewing your hatred.

I'm saying that the conservatives who spent 8 years peddling that BS about Obama are hypocrites of the highest order.

you are kidding I hope

No. Believe it or not I am not the Borg Queen, with instant access to every news report the moment it comes out.

Seems to me Trump denounced ALL sides of hate and violence.

Why do you criticize him? Do you think he should take sides? Should he denounce the right-leaning side (Unite the Right) and ignore the left-leaning side (Antifa) that eagerly engaged in the violence?

I know that's what the Trump-hating Mainstream Media is doing, but why would you do the same? Perhaps you, also, are only a Trump hater and are willing to sell your reason, intelligence and objectivity down the river?

Which means your not really upset with Trump, your just full of crap. You just think you can use this to bluggen the right with.

What happened in Virginia?

The White House is just released a statement including White nationalists and the KKK in yesterday's statement.

Doesn't matter.

The Mainstream Media, their talking potato heads, the Trump haters...and the useful idiots...have their talking point. Reason...intelligence...objectivity...none of that will be on display today. Only spin, innuendo and lies.

We've seen it since last night and it'll continue until the news cycle runs its course.

I suggest you listen to what the moron in chief actually said. not one word about the klan or white nationalists. Your attempt to support his racism is shabby.

There you go again with your intense hatred. Why are you so full of hate why railing against others for being full of hate? Trump clearly said the hate, racism, and bigotry, etc. must stop on ALL sides, including your intense hatred. The left is all about loving thy neighbor but can't even practice what they preach. Why don't you try it sometime? Kill Trump and the alt-right with love, kindness, and respect. Can't do it, can you?

Trump's continued need to shoot himself in the foot probably does matter.
