1) Donald Trump sees himself as above the law. He believes that citizen Donald Trump should not have to answer for criminal actions as would citizens John and Jane Doe.

2) If Donald Trump is indeed called to account for criminal actions, he plans to employ a shield of civil disobediance. This is a dog-whistle call to all violent radical groups/individuals that support him.

3) Conservative political pundit Hugh Hewitt obviously doesn't have the spine to press Trump to state exactly what he is inferring here. Civil unrest? Another Capitol insurrection? Civil war? Something else?

You seem to be confusing people who may have voted for him in 2016 now supporting someone who willingly and purposely participated in an attempt to overthrow a legitimate US election. I know many Republicans who did vote for him in 2016 but now would not, even if he is the GOP nominee in 2024.
Trumps comments are more like a spoiled child stomping his feet and holding his breath because he is being punished for being bad.

For starters they'll lose all support from every undecided voter and only have support of the hardcore MAGA faithful.
They'll be reported on by everyone who objects to violence in this situation which is most people.

Which is quite fair as libruls incessantly show a very unhealthy obsession of Trump and repeat anti-Trump rhetoric over and over again, even when Trump is not the subject being discussed. When the left culls it's obsession with Trump and Trump supporters, you will see and hear much less about TDS.

I know of Democrats that voted for Biden in 2020 but now would not, even if he is your nominee in 2024.

So, because Trump got 75 million votes he can't be arrested or investigated?

That's also assuming that all 75 million of those voters are willing to start a civil war for the sake of Trump.
I have a strong feeling that most of that 75 million will back away from that rather quickly and find someone else to vote for.
