Trump voters: Are you glad your vote doesn't count in CA, NY, CO, VA, MI, IL...

we have a system where we all vote for the most important U.S. politician and, because the founders invented a system out of thin air, the one with less votes can win.

that's like something a soccer mom would invent.
Unfortunately, when everyone in the contest wins less votes, one person still has to win. Grading on a curve, like college, I guess.

I suppose you think you are clever.
God Bless you
Ain't nobody got blessings like mine.

Love that song. Thanks for the presh mems.

Your op did not state presidential election, this thread is not in the presidential election sub forum. How would anyone be expected to divine what you are blabbering about if you yourself are unable to articulate it?
The first word in the title of the OP seems to give a reasonably strong meaning to the intent of the OP, doesn't it?

Was there another office that Trump was running for?

I have no idea what the op was after. After asking Trump voters what they thought, he completely dismissed their answers and went off about how bad the electoral college is, despite every Trump voter in this thread consistently supporting the system, win or lose. It's a fail of a thread, but not unexpected considering the poster.

I never mentioned individual state legislatures. For 117th Congress, we have 26 states with majority Republican representatives, three states with equal representation, and two more with TBD status that could go Republican or tied.
Not gonna be a problem because you'd need a coup to keep your boy in the Whitehouse.

Doesn't it feel really good to know that your vote was figuratively thrown in the trash? Isn't it really cool that your location is more important than your actual vote? That your vote was totally void because of where you live and not who you voted for?
? Only Maine and Nebraska offer less than winner takes all. Support the National Popular Vote initiative.

I've despised Trump since 1986. You?

I've also never voted for a Republican for president. I have voted for nine Democratic candidates for president. You?

I voted for McCain because he wanted money out of politics.

Aside from that I vote democrat, largely because their donor class tend to depend more on American paychecks for their profits. Like car insurance companies prefer that you be able to afford a car to insure.

And I identified trump as that dickhead rich kid who made the poor kids' lives hell and got away with everything. **** those guys!

Wastrel scion of a degenerate house.

If any recounts drop Biden below 270 votes, Trump will end up winning.

Aren't you glad that we are not going to have a national recount?

Not under the EC rules. The votes of certain Americans count more thang those of other Americans. And as someone else pointed out, using EC rules, the votes of tens of millions of Americans mean literally NOTHING. It's a terrible outdate anachronistic system,

Its actually not much different than goes in European countries. For the most part, their heads of government are only elected by the citizens of their actual districts; often the PM represents a minority party overall in the parliament and he becomes PM through a coalition with another party, the voters don't have a say in it.

Getting more votes is magnitudes better then getting less votes than your competitor and winning.

That's worse than a participation trophy. It's a gold medal for getting less votes.

Both Hillary and Trump disagree with you.

people have been screaming about the electoral college for my entire lifetime (and i'm sure before that). people's votes should count singularly (just like in EVERY other election we have). they shouldn't be neutered by WHERE they live.

that's insane.

You're never going to get them to listen until a republican loses the presidency because of the electoral college.

It doesn't matter. We will never get rid of the Electoral College.

Don't know what you are talking about do you?
their votes counted there were simply just not enough of them to win.

So then you agree that states should divide up their electors by % of win by the candidate.
do you realize that if they did this biden and trump would have a contested election and it would go to
the house?

where trump could win the presidency? lol
No vote was voided. Thanks for proving that once again leftist missed out on US civics and high school government class.
Here is what I realize and have realized for years. The more people that can be prevented from voting, the better the gop likes it. Lindsay graham has come out and said it several days ago.

All ballots in this country should be uniform from one state to the next except for the name of the candidates. Open voting on october the first and let it run till the end of the month. No mail in ballots will be accepted after midnight of the thirty first. Count the ballots as they come in and not wait till election day. And lastly, one person, one vote, add them together nationally and there is our next president. No electors, no college and no courts needed to decide the vote of we the people, just us.

If georgia goes for biden, half of the states votes were negated and they were all republican votes. Do you think that's fair? I don't.

It will never happen.
which means there is no reason for an Alabama Republican to even show up to vote for President. Alabama will vote red.

while, get this, a California Republican can show up to vote and both their votes are pretty much the same thing. void.

If any recounts drop Biden below 270 votes, Trump will end up winning.
Well, as recounts rerely ever tip an election with a difference of over a thousand I'm not too worried.

5 digit leads in most(all?) of the outstanding states.

Both true. Neither matters. We will never get rid of the Electoral College.
