Trump-Ukraine Whistleblower Suddenly Won't Testify

Simply because the House (100% the "prosecution" as in a GJ presentation) won't call the presumed WB does not mean that the Senate cannot do so after articles of impeachment are presented to them. Since it is the (political?) motive of Trump which is being questioned, it is fair to examine the (political?) motive of the WB as well, especially since at the time (of the initial complaint) the WB was discussing a classified and privileged conversation - quite possibly with uncleared persons which is a crime.

Ah, Yes. Most of us sincerely believe that Trump is the greatest threat to American democracy since the Civil War, and maybe even beyond that. This is not a normal president, nor is a President that would put American first, in front of his own interests. That makes him dangerous. The fact that he is woefully short on knowledge of world affairs and won't listen to those that are makes him a very, very dangerous man.

I don't believe you grasp the severity of the crisis from the perspective of most of America. And, since we are fundamentally a democracy where the opinion of the majority is to be at least respected, if not followed, disrespecting the half of the country that finds this man offensive, is offensive in itself.

Dont get overconfident about this. Its important to understand the major subtexts that are at play here. Impeaching Trump is just a slight of hand they are using as an end to a means.

This is a PR campaghin to convince the public that Trump does not deserve a 2nd term and its a smokescreen to obfuscate the reports that are coming. Make no mistake the die cast, they are gonna claim anything damning revealed by horrowitz and Durham is meant to distract us from the REAL crimes Trump is committing.

Its as obvious as the nose on your face to those of us who are paying attention but dont underestimate the impact it will have with the casaul political followers. The threat these people pose should not be taken lightly. Dont assume everyone is as smart as you.

Imo the best thing trump supporters can do is to engage people with calm noninflamatory discussions of whats taking place. People need to be woke but not in the progressive sense of the word. They need to understand what the progessive threat is in a way that allows them to put the pieces together on their own. Hyperbole imo is the wrong approach

FACT OF THE DAY ONLY 60% of the population voted in 2016!!!! If you roughly divide that by 2. 30% voted for on and 30% voted for the other. The majority of the people in this country DO NOT CARE WHO THE PRESIDENT IS.

You're correct that i don't grasp the severity of the situation. I dont share your opinion but i do respect your opinion as coming from a sincere place. I think its a shame that my opion about your postion is not reciprocated.

I dont even feel like its worth debating because of the lack of respect offered. I rather hash out our differences in a calm and meanigful way. I may even surprise you by shifting toward some form of empathy toward your position if not an outward agreement but i dont feel like theres any room for discussion. The conversation has becone you're either with me or you're my enemy.

We may disagree but im not you're enemy nor are you mine. What we are is two people who disagree on the best path to achieve the best possinle outcome.

Im your neighbor. The guy who mows your lawn when your mower is down. Im the guy who leaves a bag groceries at your stoop anonymously when your syruggling. Im the guy who shovels your driveway after a snowstorm. Stop distespecting me for not sharing your opinion.

8 years and he never needed one personal criminal lawyer, and not one of his staff was imprisoned...

However...

It later comes out that you and your neighbor don't like each other very much, so the cops let him go.

Is that a logical or illogical result?

When all you guys can do is lie, do you ever wonder if it's maybe not for the best? Or are you blindly faithful in lies? Seems so at odds with what Conservatives use to claim they were.

Yes, and Obstruction of Justice should be part of the Impeachment process.

By definition a whistleblower blows their whistle and then once the proper authorities are alerted their work is done.

So he doesnt need to testify.

They are following the Constitution and you obviously don't get how the Constitution works and the separation of powers. This isn't a criminal proceeding. It's a Constitutional process.
