Trump-Ukraine Whistleblower Suddenly Won't Testify

Not even close since fruit of the poisonous tree does have a specific meaning. No information gained on Trump and his dealings with Ukraine regarding Biden or Crowdstrike was obtained illegally or through an unlawful search.

Like I said, its not a perfect fit. Seeing as this is a political process, not a legal---as you guys have been saying repeatedly, bias on the part of those concerned can wield a similar effect.

i would call the loud mouth and break the switch and make democrats ears bleed

No it can't. It is not the same at all, nor the "same effect".

Bias can color how you see what's being done. You and many others on this site with your viewpoint still see the investigation Comey launched into the Trump campaign as legitimate despite the fact nearly everyone connected with it no longer works at the FBI. You still see it as a legit investigation.

Maybe the problem is Trump isn't using government agencies to commit malfeasance in an election, he's asking directly if there is anything going on.

No. It was legitimate because Trump really was looking to have Russia help him win the election, having meetings with Russians for information against his opponent, in his tower and elsewhere. He may have not been directly in these meetings (for deniability purposes), but he did have them. And the Russian government really did have operatives actively working to help Trump win the election. The only thing that isnt completely clear or settled is if Trump knew about the more active involvement of Russia in its social media campaign to help him win.

But this isnt about Trump and that investigation. It is about what Trump said and did when it comes to trying to dig up dirt and get Ukraine to help him smear Biden, who has a high likelihood of being his opponent in the upcoming election. What was done is highly unethical and easily can be seen as an abuse of power by the President since it was obvious to most rational people that he was using his power of his office to compel the Ukrainian government into opening investigations into his direct political opponents son (in a way that could imply that opponent was corrupt in foreign business matters as VP) and into his opposing political party indirectly, whom he has labeled the enemy multiple times, in trying to get evidence (real or not) that Ukraine was somehow responsible for the election meddling in 2016, rather than Russia. He wanted these investigations to be publicly announced to embarrass his opponents. There was no national interests involved in these requests, just personal political interests for the President. Otherwise, he would have provided legitimate evidence to open a legitimate investigation without involving his personal lawyer at all.

Which is not a whit different from the Comey investigation. Mifsud tells Papadopoulos, he repeats it to Halper and Downer in that its merely a rumor and that is the thread that begins an investigation? Smells like a setup, not that you have any curiosity about that.

Living the fantasy.

It's only illegal if a Republican does it.

It is different. One is information that someone actually is talking to Russians about an upcoming election, hence investigation into that. And there is evidence that these meetings between Trump campaign staff and Russians working to actively influence our election, in a major way, took place. Not the same as "this Russian told us that these Russians are meeting with someone about influencing the election".

And not anything the same as the President using his personal position as President to withhold aid from a country in order to get a publicly announced investigation into his political rivals son and an investigation opened, based on a conspiracy theory, into his political partys rival party, in a way he could manipulate information by having it flow through his personal lawyer from that other country.

Problem is, they weren't. Every contact with Russians was treated as spying when every new administration has contacts to start feeling out foreign policy.

Personally, I'm sick of the conspiracy dismissals. We heard the same thing in every step of the Mueller investigation. Conspiracy theory has turned into something Democrats don't want to address.

...and that despite the IG's belief there is some bias indicated, the report remained credible and urgent, and was forwarded to DNI.

Tell us more about how they are "cockroaches", that was good fun. Sounds like what a Russian would say.

It reminded me of the movie "Hotel Rwanda" where the Hutu rabble-rouser referred to the Tutsi as cockroaches.
Also the film "Der Ewige Jude" where Jews were compared to rats.
