As his term comes to an end, President Donald Trump revoked a rule he signed early in his term that imposed a five-year lobbying ban for administration officials and a lifetime ban on lobbying for foreign governments.

Trump had signed the order "Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Appointees" within his first week in office as part of his campaign promise to "drain the swamp" in Washington.

Anyone else find the irony in Trump revoking his Ethics EO?

Standard practice. Big deal. Clinton did the same thing during his last days.

I am glad to see that you have finally admitted there is no difference between Trump and any other politician.

That is real progress.

My favorite is Trump pardoning Bannon who ripped off MAGA fools with the fake fundraiser for the Wall that Mexico paid for.

Trumpism in a nutshell...lol

Better even than the Bannon pardon was Trump robbing the MAGA crowd of about $200M to investigate “election fraud.”

He certainly understood his marks.

You are imagining things. I've never said that.

This is your guy remember he is different he will drain the swamp. You realize there has been a few Presidents since Clinton, right?

The grifter has the gift of grifting his cult.

Trump seemed to think it was a big deal until it effected him.

Clinton had also nixed the five-year lobbying ban at the end of his tenure, which Trump had criticized during the 2016 campaign.
"He rigged the system on his way out," Trump said of Clinton as he ran against his wife, Hillary Clinton.

During his campaign, Trump was rather naive about the way the swamp worked, not to mention Congress, the media, etc.

He learned a few things.

But here you are...criticizing him for playing the game.

Don't you ever quit your hypocrisy?

:ROFLMAO: this is hilarious, you are just going to completely ignore the literal hundreds of posts in which you yourself hailed Trump as drainer of the swamp, and now brush off his blatant hypocrisy as just "playing the game" and accuse the other side of hypocrisy? Wow.

I'd believe Trump was a virgin before I'd believe he ever honestly wanted to drain the swamp. This alligator was not naive about the swamp in any respect, and he did indeed "play[] the game" throughout his entire campaign and Presidency.

Why should he be worried about the swamp now? Hell, why are YOU worried about the swamp? The Globalists WANT the swamp.

Good point, why should Trump care about keeping this promise when he has already broken so many

I happen to think corruption is bad no matter who does it, I just never believed for a second Trump was interested in rooting out corruption, as opposed to benefitting from it. It appears his supporters didn't really care about corruption either.

There are huge differences between trump and most politicians.

If Trump's supporters didn't care about corruption, they would have voted for Biden and Biden wouldn't have needed to use election fraud to get elected.

If Trump supporters were capable of rational thought they would not be Trump supporters.

Most people don’t want corruption in Washington. No one believed a grifter like Trump was going to tackle corruption and they were right! He lovingly cherished every area of Washington swamp and upped it a few levels.

"Drain the swamp!"
"Lock her up!"
"Build the wall!"
"Repeal and replace!"
"Ah, **** it. I'm outa here."
