Hypothetical: Pence secures the 2024 GOP nomination for POTUS. Will you vote for him even though Trump proclaimed him a wimp, p****, and lacking the moral conviction to do what's right?

Yes, unless Biden doesn't run and the democrats actually put in someone good.

First of all Trump is not my first pick. And I would never ever vote for Pence.

Change my vote. I didn't read your qualitfications. NFW would he be the nominee. But in some alternate universe he was nominee, I'd vote for him over any Dem.

??? If their only other option is the Dem candidate, what do you think?

I can guarantee you that I have never done or not done something based on something Trump said. I voted for him to be my president, not my life coach.

Exactly, you will vote for the most utterly despicable human being every to get near the White House, a man utterly devoid of character and conscience, but you will pretend to yourself that has nothing to do with your own character. That is pure rationalization in action.

Accusing Repub candidates of all these these things isn’t exactly new or unique to Trump. Y’all will hate the next GOP candidate just as bad.

I love this comment. It's perfect.
I voted for him twice and I'd vote for him again - to be president. I'm not voting for him based on some requirement that I feel some need to agree with every word he utters or every action - past, present, and future - that he's taken or will take. While Dems are completely obsessed with Trump, I'm not. If he becomes the nominee, I'll vote for him. If he wins an election over a Dem competitor, I'll be thrilled. It's just a vote and a hope for a better direction for the country, from me. I'm not trying to marry him or become his best friend.

Yeah, as DeSantis gains steam, they are already beginning to work on that pivot. They'll dial up their DeSantis hate to 10 in a flash. Some have already arrived there.

Having voted for McCain and Romney voting for Pence would be easy.

I would consider a vote for Pence, however I would have to hear where he stands on the issues. if he runs as a populist conservative rather then an establishment republican, he would get my vote in the general election.

Quite the projection you have going on there.

I didn't have the stomach for either of those two.

I've never had the term "Trump Supporter" defined.

I voted for him.

And I'd do it again.

There is a lot about him I don't like.

There are things he does I don't support.

There is NOTHING Lieden does that I support.

Would I vote for Pence.....Absolutely.

Very well said. The left is much more obsessed with Trump then they think we are. To many of us, it was never really about Trump, it was about the populist movement he tapped into. He made the right campaign promises and largely followed through on them. Any other candidate that gets my vote will have to approach politics in a similar manner. Maybe a better term then TDS for the left is: "PPS"(Pied Piper Syndrome). They think support for Trump is all part of a cult. They have not worked out that the average conservative voter is just sick and tired of "status quo establishment politics" in Washington DC. They attempted to laugh off the Tea Party movement in 2010. In reality, the Tea Party movement kicked their asses in 2010, 2014, and 2016, and will likely do so again this coming November.

I hate DeSantis as much as I hate Trump.
