Trump suggests Canada become 51st state after Trudeau said tariff would kill economy

This is why I love President Trump. This is also why the Left hates him. He has brass balls, the Left has ***** hats. (but... but... but... Trump is Putin's puppet!) :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

President-elect Trump suggested to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last week that if a tariff for failing to address trade and immigration issues would kill the neighbor to the north’s economy, maybe it should become the 51st state, sources told Fox News.

Last Friday, Trudeau flew to Mar-a-Lago unannounced after Trump threatened to impose sweeping tariffs on Canadian products. Specifically, Trump is threatening to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico over their failures to curb the flow of illegal immigrants and illicit drugs from those countries into the U.S.

You openly and publicly profess to "love" a former/soon-to-be U.S. Commander-in-Chief who stated our men and women who served in the U.S. Military and gave their lives for freedom and liberty are "suckers and losers" and also repeatedly disrespected John McCain, former U.S. POW, who was tortured while serving our nation?

Why?

Why did President Trump win the popular vote?

LMAO! Trump is awesome. He's getting his revenge after that moron Trudeau insulted him. I love it!

A bully doesn't need brass balls if he is President of the US - all he needs is to be himself. Now someone in some small country standing up to Trump, THAT takes brass balls.

Now it so happens I have nothing against Trump being a bully; however, I do have extreme concern and disappointment that he uses such power in a haphazard, impulsive, and often unproductive ways.

Recall his "Rocket Man" rantings to intimidate Kim Jong Un in his first term? At first it did intimidate the NK leadership, so they pretended to bend the knee (a little bit) and that was enough to hear Trump laud Kim as his best friend. It wasn't long before Trump canceled training with South Korea and then... the showboating sham collapsed.

It was nothing more than pointless theatrics, an ego boost for the man child Trump.

Then there was his bizarre and inconsistent behavior regarding Iran, the first time in refusing to seek retaliation for their shooting down a 30-million-dollar drone and thus signaling his tolerance for Iranian military actions, but then later jumping on an opportunity to assassinate the IRC general...confusing allies and enemies as to what his thinking was - assuming he was thinking at all?

Now it's making Tariff threats, which might yield something if played properly. But once again here he appears erratic and arbitrary, almost as if he is oblivious to the actual issues he is trying to address.

We all know what his issues are with China and Mexico, but what is with this bellicosity directed at Canada? He got his trade deal in his first term and signed a treaty with clear and unambiguous obligations - you know, like no other tariffs than those specified?

Is he a Welcher or just crazy?

Apprehensions of illegals at the Canadian border are microscopic compared to those crossing the Mexican border. 23,000 in a year is nothing compared to MILLIONS in a year under Biden. If one thought Trump's mind was not a chaotic mess, one might suppose his aim is purely and personally vindicative towards Trudeau - which you implied.

Is Trump that petty to punish an entire nation cause of a "hardon" towards their elected leader...so it would seem.

It is a shame really and I wouldn't call Trump's hallucinating of issues that aren't there, having delusional false beliefs, and being afflicted with severe disorganized thinking to be a case of "brass balls" - it's closer to a psychotic break with reality.

Ooh neat, another "Let's buy Greenland" moment. So many good ideas Donnie boy, don't burn yourself out before your presidency starts.
;)

He's a 4Chan troll personified, so it's what we're going to see more of for the next few years.

I hope you feel better getting that nonsense rant off your chest.

Foiled in his attempt to buy Greenland, trump seizes on the idea of forcibly acquiring a large landmass.

What other state could catch the eye of the orange anus? China?
Actually, the next four years are going to be crazy, with a lot of threats toward democratic leaders from Trump (and plenty of praise for authoritarian leaders). After that, a deep depression will likely follow, primarily in the US. (It might kick in earlier, but I’m playing it safe and saying four years.) To me, the "winner" in this whole situation appears to be France. That country might actually end up being "saved" by the US. Of course, this depends on them not going crazy and voting for those financed by Russia (and that the left understand what Macron is aiming at).

You are overlooking the most crucial aspect of Trump's economic policies: taking control of the Federal Reserve (FED).

Tariffs, budget cuts, increased support for billionaires, and dismantling the social safety net—all of these can potentially be repaired or mitigated during an economic downturn. However, this is not the case if they are combined with a takeover of the FED. That is the key to the historical decline you are about to witness.

Afterward, people will wonder why economists didn't sound the alarm. We've seen this combination before. Historians will spend decades criticizing the economists, and the economists themselves will emerge from the battle disheveled and discredited.

Bullshit.

Bullshit.
I explain it more thoroughly in the following thread. Read my posts there, and you might understand.
The key is the takeover of the FED. If Trump were to gain control of the FED, it would politicize monetary policy, leading to unpredictable consequences for inflation, interest rates, and global confidence in the US economy. While his other economic measures, such as tariffs, tax cuts, and budget reductions, may have significant effects, it is the takeover of the FED that not only could but will create a historic economic downturn comparable to the one in the early 1930s.

So why would he do it, and will he even follow through? Yes, he will, for the same reasons politicians did so in the past: to create a temporary economic upswing. (Think "the Roaring Twenties.")

For high tariffs and the dismantling of the social safety net not to have immediate negative consequences for consumption and the economy, Trump would need to keep interest rates low. And that practically requires control of the FED.

Without low interest rates, high tariffs risk driving up import costs, fueling inflation. At the same time, tax cuts for the wealthy and cuts to social programs reduce demand from the groups that spend the largest share of their income. If the FED then attempts to raise interest rates to combat inflation, it could lead to a double blow: rising living costs and declining economic activity.

This is why Trump’s threat or promise to take control of the FED is so central. For his short-term economic policies to "look good" during his term, an artificially stimulated economy through low interest rates is necessary. But this is a ticking time bomb long-term, it risks creating a deep and unmanageable economic crisis akin to the one in the 1930s.

Wonder how Trump's call out for Canada's reduction to a state within the United States will play in Quebec?

My bad, that was another poster.

It was a tongue in cheek comment by President Trump. It was clever in that he made his point to Trudeau very clearly and it must have made Trudeau feel very uncomfortable. You are way over thinking it. I don't need to travel the world (although I have a little) to understand what was going on there. The fact that you seem to think so makes me question whether you understand.
I'm sure Trudeau felt perfectly comfortable.

Projecting "ruler of the world power" onto Trump says a lot about you.

I'm sure Trudeau felt perfectly comfortable.
You're sure? LOL :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You don't know the first thing about me. I wasn't projecting anything. That's just the type bullshit statement that we have all learned to expect from the TDS crowd. No one is buying it.

You're sure?
As sure as you.
Wipe your chin.

You don't know the first thing about me.
I know everything about your posts.

I wasn't projecting anything.
Sure you were. Thinking Trump is king of the world gives you a false sense of power.

That's just the type bullshit statement that we have all learned to expect from the TDS crowd. No one is buying it.
TDS. Drink!!!

That's why you love Trump?

I save my love for family and friends. Loving a politician is batshit bizarre.
You're post is what is batshit bizarre. Liberals are so petty and mean spirited. No one cares what they have to say anymore. They are officially lower than garbage. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You're post is what is batshit bizarre.
You said you love Trump. To me, loving a politician is batshit bizarre.

I'm not a liberal. I'm more conservative than you could ever hope to be. And I don't fall in love with politicians.

are so petty and mean spirited. No one cares what they have to say anymore. They are officially lower than garbage. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Trump lovers are emotional. They remind me of leftists from the '60s.

Good for you ....... Move on.

As sure as you.
Applying common sense. This is something Liberals struggle with. They would rather make it up as they go along.

Wipe your chin.
Why? Did I spill my beer?

I know everything about your posts.
You don't know me. It's kind of creepy you thinking that you do.

Sure you were. Thinking Trump is king of the world gives you a false sense of power.
I don't recall thinking/saying President Trump was king of anything. I don't desire power. Epic fail on that one. That is truly bizarre that your mind would be going in that direction.

No. I think it's just more Liberal hate being spewed. It's the only thing Liberals are truly good at.

TDS. Drink!!!
Don't get it on your chin. ;)

You are one very confused poster. Equating opposing Trump with being liberal is batshit ignorant.

Why? Did I spill my beer?

Idiocy.

Yes, we know that. And I am saying that your statement is beyond batshit bizarre.

It's OK I am Liberal :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Cool.

You're in love with a politician. Conservatives aren't emotional. You are no conservative.

Wipe your chin.
