The party of values, just another lie the GOP tells Americans.
We can codify this cowardly perversion:
MAGA - Founded on the belief that the United States was once a “great” country but has lost this status owing to foreign influence, both within its borders (via immigration and multiculturalism) and without (via globalization, or the increased integration of multiple national economies).
MAGA disciples - Members think that this fall from grace can be reversed through “America first” policies that would provide a greater degree of economic protectionism, kill immigration, particularly from developing countries, and encourage or enforce what MAGA members consider to be traditional American values.
In other words, like the German conservative of the 1930s, today's American MAGA conservatives are far too stupid to understand that obnoxious tariffs on China (Trump, then Biden) is exactly why the price of common goods continue to rise. Too ignorant to understand that globalization began during the Industrial Age; and the global economic and trades system is exactly why the world carried on after World War II in ever increasing collaboration. Too stupid to understand that immigration into America is why America stands apart in the West, in terms of population growth and economic stability. Too ignorant to understand, that just because a freed slave can vote or that a woman can be a CEO, that his Christian white male world (his shallow idea of what "America" is) will not disappear. And too ignorant to appreciate that such
Germany First behavior [or "closed-society" policies] launched Germany and others on a path of self-destruction when they too embraced a populist who scapegoated everybody and everything that MAGA now does, in order to avoid the mental sweat needed to actually understand why certain things have and continue to occur.
See? Their entire MAGA religion is about cowardice and stupidity. Their irrational fear is so great that they will even embrace a pedophile who visited Epstein Island at least seven times, a convicted felon, and a documented traitor who dares them to have some self-respect on a daily basis as he feeds them lie after lie. We have all seen it. How many Republicans dare present some self respect, have Trump retaliate by insulting their wives and children, only for said Republican to publicly betray hs own family in order to prove that he is loyal and deserves nothing more than Trump?
