Trump Says Critical Coverage of Him Is ‘Really Illegal’

It remained unclear why the president believed negative news coverage, which all of his predecessors have faced and is protected by the Constitution, would be against the law.

“They’ll take a great story and they’ll make it bad,” he said, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office. “See, I think that’s really illegal.”

==============
It's not illegal at all. In fact, this is what another president said:

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt

No one is saying you can not criticize, the left have a tendency to take what ever he says and make it what he does not mean. Example:
Trump said once that some Mexicans who come into our country are rapists, and the left have made it out that he says ALL Mexicans are racists.

Non sequitur. Trump said he thinks it’s illegal for the media to “take a great story and make it bad”. Those are his exact words.

So, he can think what he wants. Are you the mind/opinion police?

No. I’m pointing out you claimed he didn’t mean exactly what he said. It’s really weird they you try and do that every time he says something retarded.

The First Amendment is under attack by this out-of-control president.

HE DIDN'T SAY THAT, AND IF HE DID, HE DIDN'T MEAN IT. AND IF HE DID, YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT, AND IF YOU DID, IT'S NO BIG DEAL. AND IF IT IS, OTHERS HAVE SAID WORSE

And yes, he said you CAN'T criticize, he literally said that critical comments about him are illegal.

So, he can think what he wants. Are you the mind/opinion police?
Correct...

Trump has the 1st Amendment Right to say what he thinks. That right also extends to those that would criticize the man's words, yes?

So, sue him. OR better yet IMPEACH IMPEACH
It has not been a good week for Trump. Perhaps he should shut his cake hole for 5 minutes, and lay off trying to grab a headline every 5 minutes.

Spin that quote. Tell us what he said wasn't what he meant to say.

Trump lies about something being good

Truth tellers share why idea is not good and point out the idea was actually a stack of blank paper

Trump says that is criticism and pointing out his lie of something being good with why it's bad and a lie, is a lie in his eyes and is...illegal...

Truth is in the eye of beholder in the end

In his opinion it is illegal. Just look at what his idol did.

The Mad Orange King claims a lot of things to be “illegal”.
So what.
That’s not up to him. It’s up to the courts.
Assuming they continue to function.

So, he can think what he wants. Are you the mind/opinion police?
You act as though Donald Trump is the host of Celebrity Apprentice firing off random political musings while sitting on the toilet, rather than the President of the United States.

So what does your Trump decoder ring tell you "really illegal" means? Totally legal?
Those decoder rings can only be purchased at a Trump rally. You wil find them next to the tin foil hats

Trump said once that some Mexicans who come into our country are rapists, and the left have made it out that he says ALL Mexicans are racists.
Odd that Republicans voted via that exact interpretation.
What's suddenly changed?
