Trump on Putin plan to recognize breakaway Ukraine regions: 'This is genius'

"All we are saying is give peace a chance". LOL. Putin had a plan and he is in the process of executing it. He saw Biden as President, he's seen him as VP and knew the resistance to his plan would be weak if at all. So here we are.
Trump was commenting on this fact. Putin knew he would get little resistant from Biden. So in terms of what Putin has done he was smart.

Reading your pro-Putin propaganda made me wince. Isn't it past time to ramp up your radicalization, privately?

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 06/14/21

"..His response came at a NATO press conference on Monday where he was asked how he's been able to reassure allies that the U.S. will be a reliable and stable partner moving forward, especially given the violence of Jan. 6 and Trump's continued hold on the Republican Party.

The president has repeatedly emphasized at the Group of Seven (G-7) and NATO summits that now is a critical time for democracies around the world.

"The leaders I’m dealing with in NATO and the G-7 are leaders who know our recent history, know generically the character of the American people and know where the vast center of the public stands," Biden said. "We’re a decent, honorable nation. And I think that they have seen things happen, as we have, that shocked them and surprised them that could have happened. But I think they, like I do — the American people are not going to sustain that kind of behavior.

"The Republican Party is vastly diminished in numbers. The leadership of the Republican Party is fractured. And the Trump wing of the party is the bulk of the party," Biden added. "But it makes up a significant minority of the American people."

That's quite the stretch. While one can critique the manner of the withdrawal, the process was already initiated before the current administration and there was no indication that had the former president won, there would have been a change in the US departure from Afghanistan. I think what is a more salient point is that Putin is seeking to destabilize the current administration by acting when he did, because the former administration was less interested in involving itself in these types of conflicts.

What seems more evident is Putin is pushing against the US reasserting itself as a bigger player on the world stage than the former administration seemed interested in doing. Over the past few years we've had a president less interested in the US role in NATO and questioning the value of the alliance itself. There's certainly a discussion to be had about NATO expansion in the 90s as it relates to the situation now, but what still remains is the question of whether the actions of Russia against Ukraine make sense to sit by and watch while both Russia and China wait for the US response.
Bottom line is when Trump was president Putin was in a box. Now with Biden as president Putin is running free.

Not really. It's more a question of when he chose to act. He's chosen to do so when there's an administration less friendly to Russia.

I think if you're into watching golden showers take place, watching two women urinate on the bed your predecessor slept in isn't too far fetched.

I think your comments say more about you, than anything else.

You'll parrot any bullsh!t that comes from the dirty tricks dept of Shillary Clinton's campaign.

Since you are "new" here, please tell us what Biden should have done to stop Putin from potentially invading Ukraine?
I am not “new” here and Biden hasn’t done anything to avert or try to prevent this potential invasion since this first happened under his former Boss, Obama…

FTFY

I have no idea what you mean. Under Trump, Putin got what he wanted and was not hampered one bit by Trump policy. Trump abandoned U.S. based in Syria and Russia took them over, while capturing American equipment.
  • Russian troops and Syrian forces swiftly took over at least three recently abandoned US camps in northern Syria this week.
  • Russian mercenaries splashed their good fortune over social media and took selfies in front of US equipment, while Russian reporters gave walking tours of the base.
  • US troops vacated following Donald Trump's October 6 decision to pull all US troops from a coalition with the Syrian Defense Forces.
  • "Humiliation doesn't begin to cover what the US forces are feeling right now," a military official with the anti-ISIS coalition said

Crimea is Russian.

There's nobody in Crimea who wants to be with Ukraine. Crimea has historically been part of Russia. It was only transferred over to Ukraine by your hero Josef Stalin, who liked to play ethnic games that set various ethnic groups against each other, so that he could remain on top, dominating everybody.

You're upset that Putin is undoing the work of your hero Stalin, and that's what's got you up in arms.
Goodness knows you Dems never cared to criticize Moscow when the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was actually still alive. Socialists of a feather flock together.

More praise of Putin and of Trump praising Putin. This sort of action used to be called being “traitorous” but is now called “being a Republican”. Must make you very proud to be rooting for our global enemy. I know that it makes Putin very happy to see this sort of conduct from American citizens like you and Trump and Tucker Carlson. There is a term for this sort of conduct: “useful fools” for our foes.

I don't see Putin as a "global enemy" anymore than I see Xi as a global enemy.

These are rivals, certainly. But their not incarnates of Satan. So stop the hysterical ranting.

Putin made a sly move. It's the truth.
So what if you say it?

Joe Biden is an idiot. Let's hope he has someone on staff smart enough to figure out a good counter move because that babbling old fool sure isn't going to.

Hypocrite.

When Trump was president. You were actively rooting for Trump to fail, thus rooting for America to fail.

That in my opinion is treasonist.

You ran from my post.

Look at it again, read it again. You know it's tire which is why you could not speak to it.
Damn it! Be an American and demand that Trump also be or toss him out with the bath water.

It is your OBLIGATION.

That line was cheap. It cost you nothing. Now pay to price for our attention: why should Biden have done. If you claim its tepid and weak, then you have a standard to measure that to, so let's hear what he should have done. The mic is yours.

We should have supplied Russia with a death sentence. Instead, The U.S version of sanctions consisted of a couple of Russian banks and going after Putin's girlfriend?

Trumps decision not to make Syria another Afghanistan is one I agreed with. He ran on keeping us out of needless wars and kept his word.

Really? How long did it take? And why exactly are you cheering for a Russian war against those who wanted freedom and independence.

Aren't the seperatist people in Ukraine asking for freedom and independence?

Why do you think they don't deserve it?

You cherry picked my post in your effort to deflect from the entirety of the historical record supporting that Trump is Putin's poodle.
What else explains Trump as POTUS blaming Obama for Putin's illegal annexation of Crimea and Trump's praising Putin yesterday for biting
off more of sovereign Ukraine and Trump's destruction of memorializations of his interactions with Putin while POTUS?

I 100% agree.

The us went back on its words when it told Russia it wouldn't expand Nato.

Russian has every right to fight back.

One development here is we now know for certain who are thinking and acting indistinguishably from Russian bots!
Thank you!

In this "episode" of "irresistible attraction to authoritarianism," the Zimmerman, Rittenhouse or Kim Potter "character" is represented by.... Putin!

Alright, enlighten me, smart guy. What does my suggesting that a man who would watch two people urinate on each other possibly get enjoyment from watching someone urinate on a bed once slept in by someone his despises say about me? Come on, let me have it.

I'm not parroting anything. Did I say the pee tapes were real? You didn't read anything like that in my post.

So, do yourself a favor and stop projecting you animus towards me.

You and Tucker and Trump and others like you are greasing the skids for Putin to conduct a full scale invasion of the remainder of Ukraine. Must make you all very proud.

Aren't the seperatist people in Ukraine asking for freedom and independence?

Why do you think they don't deserve it?

Yes, you are very good at parroting Putin propaganda. See post #344.

Why?

Economic sanctions wouldn't have prevented Russia from invading Ukraine, but they have the potential of harming Russia's economy making it difficult for them to make weapons long term. If the Russian economy tanks, the Kremlin can't borrow money to keep the military machine going. At the very least fighting men still need to feed their families back home away from the front lines. And you can't make a bomb if you can't afford bomb making materials.

Will the sanctions save Ukraine? Very unlikely, but Russia will feel the economic impact from their decision to invade Ukraine for a long time.
Sorry...omitted a word during my quick edits.

You put all that comical drivel together just for me?

LOL, of course you didn't. You've plastered the internet with that nonsense.

It's one NATO will have a hard time opposing with military force without looking like hypocrites to the rest of the world.

NATO was never going to oppose Russian efforts in Ukraine with direct military force. That option went permanently off the table in 2014 when the Russians very bluntly warned that would result in nuclear retaliation.
