trump on after a baby is born: "...You discuss with the mother and if the mother doesn’t want the baby we execute the baby..."

There's room for a reasonable compromise by reasonable people but the pro-choice position that women should have carte Blanche authority is not a reasonable starting point.

There is no monolithic pro-choice position. There's nothing preventing you from expressing what you think a reasonable position would be. Pro-choice advocates - even the extreme ones - aren't preventing you from doing that.

So what's your view then? Or what do you think a reasonable compromise would be, and why?

There's room for a reasonable compromise by reasonable people but the pro-life position that women should have no authority after conception is not a reasonable starting point.

That is the other side of the coin taken to the same extreme.

That's just exactly what they did when I had my daughter. She was born, they set her aside, and asked me 'do you want to keep her, or do you want to kill her'.
:D

My current position is that abortions should only be legal in cases of a medical emergency. If family law is ever amended to allow men to opt out of fatherhood before the child is born, I would be open to the law also permitting elective abortions.

It's the reality. Start to finish. It's her body.

Women have been terminating pregnancies for millennia. You can't stop them. Acknowledging this fact of life would be the only rational starting point.

I think the pro-life position is also unreasonable.

People have been killing people for just as long. We write laws to control undesirable behaviors. We can jail women for breaking the law.

People have been sucking up to cult leaders longer.

We write laws to control undesirable behaviors.
You're not paying attention. Women. Abortion. Millennia.

We can jail women for breaking the law.
We're about to jail a cult leader and his Darwin Award (non-lethal edition) co-conspirators.

I love red herrings. Got any more?

Fact: It's her body. She's gonna do with it what she wishes. You can't stop her. Mr. Man.

See, you're also pro-abortion rights, in a way.

What is medically necessary? How do we determine what's medically necessary? What happens to doctors if a second doctor comes along and determines that first doctor was wrong and that maybe it wasn't medically necessary? Lose his license? Lose his freedom?

Based on what?

That life begins at conception is a religious belief. Is that your reasoning?

If family law is ever amended to allow men to opt out of fatherhood before the child is born, I would be open to the law also permitting elective abortions.
So, even though the ZEF isn't inside your body, you want essentially the same rights as the woman, in an abortifinancial kinda way. Classy. What is this based on?

So you don’t give a **** about the mother’s rights, or the child that is being born. You just want to sow your oats and not be responsible.

Yeah. 1 million people a day are turning 18.

Guess who they are going to vote for? The one who strips them of body autonomy, or the one that respects their right to choose?

I think we both know the answer, and I truly believe that that’s what’s going to sway this election so far left that you can taste it.

What does that look like, specifically?

Mandatory pregnancy tests every month for every woman that menstruates? And then tracking those that turn up positive? Housing them? Ankle monitors?

Tracking women’s cycles to detect if she’s become pregnant and had an abortion?

Anonymous reporting of suspect “abortions” with forced medical examinations?

Restricting the ability of women to travel out of state or country?

I mean…just how far “Handmaid’s Tale” you want to go?

Florida tried to make women disclose their menstrual history. Didn’t work out so well.

Florida was also the one who tried out mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients. Screwed the pooch on that, too.

Florida isn’t really good at … thinking, you know?

I’ve been cracking up driving around NJ the last several days.

Our state elections are next month and there are signs everywhere about “don’t Florida New Jersey”

😂

Tiny little cameras that detect whether the fertilized egg attaches. We wouldn't want to jail women for God's...err...nature's errors.

Btw, congratulations Republicans and Christians. You support the biggest liar in our country...

Your title is deceptive because it implies that Trump was stating his own beliefs.

Do better, someday.

How can anyone believe that someone who wants to be President of the United States is saying this kind of thing about half of Americans? It's absolutely incredible! He wants to lead half of America in a righteous war against the other half!
This, people, is serious shit. Anyone who doesn't recognize how serious this stuff is is trying really hard to squint their eyes really tight and make their country like it used to be.
It's not like it used to be. And if Trump wins another term it never will be.
Hilary just said half of America needed to be deprogrammed. Did that outrage you?

yeah, trump's own words shouldn't be used against him.

The man is obsessed with executing people. That should make him a really great President...not.

What's funny about this is that if he did knock someone up by some miracle, he's stuck. There are no outs.

We should get professional athletes to knock up as many women as possible.

And, or course, not allow little girls who are raped by Pastors to be able to have abortions. 12yo maw maws are cool.

yeah, trump's own words shouldn't be used against him.
Still no better. Why do you condemn Trump's supposed lies by telling a lie? All you had to do was to say, "Trump Lies About the Left" etc. Too much effort, huh?
