Trump Launches War On Iran

Interestingly, this strike came as a surprise to everyone due to the amazing lack of leaks of the operation to the press.

This was probably because Trump chose not to notify Democrat leadership and fired all of the top Pentagon Biden appointees.
Nobody thought Trump was stupid enough to plunge the US into another quagmire after all his blather about being a “peace president”.

Apparently. The hardest part of all this is that I no longer have any faith in the federal government. I don't believe over half of its statistics, especially the bs about inflation. Anybody who's shopped for essentials knows that's a pack of lies. I don't believe the media polls claiming Americans are gung ho on war - I don't personally know a single Republican or Democrat that doesn't want these bloody battles to end immediately and through negotiation - and I certainly don't believe there's any serious will on a federal level to represent Americans at this point. These creeping suspicions started with George Bush but have gotten successively worse. It now feels like we've been utterly hijacked by foreign interests
I'm with you there. I don't trust this administration as far as I could throw them, and they don't even trust each other! Just look at the division between the Dept of National Intel under Tulsi Gabbard and Trump. We're straight up, under the rule of imperialism.

Israel is far more of a “rogue state” than Iran.
Trump has given Netanyahu everything he wanted. He gave Israel the Golan Heights, he did the Abraham Accords which was nothing but a giant '**** you' to Palestinians. Trump sat back and watched as Israel expanded settlements in the West Bank. There's a reason Trump floated the idea of turning Gaza into casinos and golf courses. It's clear that both Trump and Netanyahu are warmongers. Trump promised, "no new wars in the Middle East". Well, that promise meant nothing. This is the man that Trump supporters said would be 'anti-war'. Looks exactly like imperialism to me.

Probably? Based on what evidence?
Or is this just more re stupidity?

The US is so utterly subservient to Israel Israeli characters aren’t even allowed to be antagonists in action novels.

I can genuinely think of only one book— out of the hundreds and hundreds I’ve read in the genre in the last decade plus— where the antagonists are Israelis.

In comparison, I can think of a half a dozen just off the top of my head where the antagonist is, say, France.

It’s amazingly blatant.

Most will agree that obliterating Iran's nuclear stash is a good thing. Iran is a very bad actor and never could be trusted to make any deal. However, Iran is also a very determined country so I expect there will be retaliation. Russia has firmly come out strongly against the US so we can expect they will not be interested in talking further with the US about Ukraine or other security matters. An emboldened Israel will finish of Gaza with immunity and continue attacking Iran. Trump can no longer boast about deal making or peace in the ME ....those days are gone. As I say taking out the stash was a good thing but the facts are the situation in the ME, and in fact around the world, has become much more volatile and Americans everywhere are in danger of retaliation. We'll see what happens next but it's hard to imagine this was a one and done.

Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's own Director of National Intelligence, was missing from the suits in the background as Trump spoke into a microphone. If the president of the US does not accept intelligence gathered by the experts who do intelligence gathering, then why even have an intelligence department? If Trump is simply going to follow the orders of Netanyahu, why do we need a president? Why don't we just get direct orders from Israel as to where we drop our bombs?

US dropped SIX bunker buster bombs on Fordow completely destroying it. The other two main nuclear sites, Natanz and Ispahan were destroyed by 30 tomahawk missiles launched from submarines.

Accomplished with no leaks or loss of military personal or assets. Well done military

I hate even thinking it, but Russia, and any other country that condemns this attack by the U.S., is absolutely right. The United Nations has condemned this attack by the U.S., it violates internation law.

Remember when the U.S. used to be the 'good guys'

That so called simpleton defeated the Bushes Clinton’s Obamas Biden political families.
Doesn't make him any less of an ignorant, self-obsessed, malignant narcissist who fails at everything he attempts. You elected a global laughing stock.

How do you know? 'Trump told me, and he never lies'.

I hate to bring up 'ancient' history, but all of our issues with Iran, today, stem from the CIA's coup in 1953. I'm not making excuses, just attempting to alert those condemning Iran that the current theocracy was, essentially, created by us, the West. It's almost as if we planned for a future enemy, destroying a functioning, Western-looking democracy in the process.

“Now is the time for peace!”

Might as well label it waste, fraud and abuse like everything else they don’t like.

How long before we have any confirmation that there was ANY nuclear material in the “nuclear sites” we bombed?

Other than what this Administration and Israel tells us….because I don’t trust either of them to tell the truth.
Like Saddam's "45 minute's readiness" WMD which existed nowhere but in a belligerent imagination.

Honestly? What the hell was Trump even talking about when he made the announcement? We need age limits for politicians. Trump is in far over his head and he is honestly too corrupt to lead. He wants to draw attention away to his 'beautiful bill' that will increase the debt so that billionaires won't be taxed. And the debt increase means the US will not be able to fund social security forever. So, all those workers that will depend on it, as the years pass. They will only be able to collect less and less. This nation is cooked.

Biden/Kamala would have done the same thing

yes.

both parties work for united states Incorporated. thanks for pointing this out, seems this forum starting to understand or maybe not.

blessings people, we have 2 weeks as Orange has said. (is that for the Bunker Busters?)

1750596472256.webp...for those who don't understand, this is all just the Dialectic here in this picture. or the Left vs Right games we play on this forum.

are you all getting tired of winning yet. ?

Dark Maga doesn't think so: boom boom kaboomb.

Hegseth said in the press conference that the "military operation targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities was the result of “months and weeks of planning.”

Trump and Netanyahu had been planning this for months according to Pete.

So, there goes the "theyshuddamaydadeel" argument?
