Trump Launches War On Iran

So this morning now that we are learning the strikes might have been wholly unsuccessful, of course Trump is talking about regime change. Cmon, maga - time for new talking points! Tell us how regime change is not war, how it was always on the table, and how eager you are to sign up for military service or push your kids into it to show your patriotism and love of country.
Cult:

Trump reneging on JCPOA which the IAEA confirmed Iran was complying with is what has led to this. Do some ****ing homework.

Iran could have still complied with the unsigned agreement.

And there are also the facts,
Yes, Iran has faced accusations of hiding nuclear sites from international inspection. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported concerns regarding Iran's failure to provide full and timely cooperation regarding undeclared nuclear material and activities at multiple locations.
Key Concerns:
Failure to declare sites and activities: The IAEA has criticized Iran for not declaring certain nuclear materials and activities, as required by its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) safeguards agreement.
Restricted Access: Iran has restricted access to IAEA inspectors, particularly since 2021, limiting monitoring and verification of its nuclear program.

Google AI
Uranium traces: The IAEA has detected uranium traces at several undeclared sites in Iran and has been seeking explanations for their presence.
Suspected military dimensions: Concerns have been raised about potential links between Iran's nuclear activities and possible military dimensions of its nuclear program, though Iran maintains its program is for peaceful purposes.
Construction of new facilities: Reports suggest Iran is constructing new underground facilities and fortifying existing ones, raising concerns that they could be used to house undeclared materials or activities.
Denial of access and lack of transparency: Iran has been accused of denying access to inspectors at suspected sites and failing to provide credible explanations for the presence of undeclared nuclear material.
Historical Context:
Revelations dating back to 2002 exposed a "policy of concealment" that systematically deceived the IAEA for years regarding the scope of Iran's nuclear activities.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), a nuclear deal reached in 2015, aimed to enhance IAEA monitoring, but limitations on access to certain sites remained a concern.

That's the one thing that really bothers me. How close were they really? US Intelligence and the IAEA say that they were not close to developing a bomb. Trump chose to go with some other undisclosed intelligence that said they were. Last night Trump says the stash was "completely and fully obliterated", today the military and others say there is no way of telling how much was destroyed.

How will we ever know the truth about how close they were?
How will we know or will we ever know just how successful the attack was in destroying the nuclear facility?
My guess is that to get to the true story we will need to wait until
A) Dems hold the House and/or Senate. or
B) when a Dem holds the White House again.

No. Israel's nuclear weapons are legal.

My facts are all in order.

That is incorrect. The Arabs massively invaded Israel with the goal of destroying them. Israel was only defending themselves.
How do you know? Israel won't confirm or deny possession of nuclear weapons, nor will they permit inspection of their sites by the IAEA. Start from there. No Arab nation "massively attacked" Israel. Where do you find this nonsense?

Anything is possible. The fact remains that, until Trump stupidly reneged on the JCPOA which the IAEA confirmed Iran was complying with, there were no issues. And now the idiot has dragged you into yet another war you cannot win
Its not a war just yet (at least not for the US).
Time will tell how far this thing will go

It's so cringe-inducing to watch. You can tell he doesn't believe any of it, but he's got to pander to the Evangelicals. He's like the teenager who pretends to be religious to impress his church-going girlfriend.
Just before he ****s her in the back of his Chevy.

I don't know whether you're just guessing based on this person not being a Trump supporter, but personally, I despise Agent Orange but I was absolutely horrified by the bombings you're referencing.

Agent Orange was Vietnam right ?

ISIS is still active in ME. They just attacked a christian church

3. Church attack

A suicide bomber attacked a Greek Orthodox church in Syria on Sunday, killing at least 20 people and injuring dozens more, the country’s health ministry said. The attacker reportedly opened fire on the congregation of Mar Elias Church in Damascus and then blew himself up using an explosive vest. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but Syria’s Ministry of Interior Affairs told CNN that it was carried out by a “suicide bomber affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS.” The United States’ Special Envoy for Syria, Thomas Barrack, called the attack an act of “cowardice.”

Iran has more than 1300 pounds of uranium enriched to 60% U235 and was building a heavy water reactor to produce plutonium.

It takes two to make a deal. Why should Iran stick to their part when America did not? This is all on Trump; make no mistake. Anyone relying on AI is a fool.

Strikes might have been wholly unsuccessful? Push our kids into military service to show our patriotism and love of country?

I'd wait until the DoD damage assessment is released or leaked before grading the mission's success. Until then, the extent of damage to Iran's nuclear weapons program is speculative.

CNN's speculative report includes expert opinion by authoritative sources: How badly have US strikes damaged Iran’s nuclear facilities? Here’s what to know, Allegra Goodwin, Gianluca Mezzofiore, Christian Edwards, Thomas Bordeaux and Jessie Yeung, CNN, 6/22/2025

Really? Prove me wrong.

Got anything else to deny?

Wait, you don't trust news sources, remember?

Some of your support is history and the others are claims.

But yes Gaza is a mess. Odd other ME countries are not doing much about it.

Its not a war just yet (at least not for the US).
Time will tell how far this thing will go
If you join in the bombing of a country during a war (Israel/Iran), then you're pretty much part of that war, regardless of formal declarations.

So this morning now that we are learning the strikes might have been wholly unsuccessful, of course Trump is talking about regime change.
Oh really?
Neither of these assertions seems to be supported by the any news coverage which I have seen.

Cmon, maga - time for new talking points! Tell us how regime change is not war, how it was always on the table, and how eager you are to sign up for military service or push your kids into it to show your patriotism and love of country.

How do you know?
I checked to see if Israel had signed the Non Proliferation Treaty.

Israel won't confirm or deny possession of nuclear weapons, nor will they permit inspection of their sites by the IAEA. Start from there.
I do not need to inspect Israel's nuclear sites in order to determine that they have not signed the Non Proliferation Treaty.

History is not nonsense. The Arabs massively attacked Israel and they were only defending themselves.

How do you know?
I follow the news.

Iran's heavy water reactor was just in the news a few days ago when Israel bombed and destroyed it.

Iran claims to have smuggled almost all of the country’s highly enriched uranium to a secret location before the US launched strikes on its nuclear bases.

Three of Tehran’s most critical enrichment facilities, including its underground facility at Fordow, were pummelled by B-2 stealth bombers and a barrage of submarine-launched missiles early on Sunday morning.

But US officials believe that most of the material at Fordow and Iran’s other facilities had been moved elsewhere before the strikes.

Where did I say that? I don't trust propaganda; only an idiot would. The Nakba is as much a historical fact as WW2.
So is the UKs colonial period.

Where will Iran enrich it with what engineers willing to work with the Shia Extremists?

Obama left office in 2017. So 8 years ago.
Isnt it possible that Iran wasnt close to finalizing their nukes yet??
They've apparently been finalizing their nukes for over 30 years despite us being told they were a few weeks away at various points during that time. This was the same source who told us Iraq was definitely working on obtaining nuclear weapons and should be one of the reasons the US should invade Iraq again. Isn't it possible the very same person finally found someone dumb enough to convince attacking Iran is a good idea?

Now the interesting thing is this administration isn't sure about the extent of the damage at Fordo or if the centrifuges were even there, and most estimates have this attack setting back Iran's program a year or two according to some groups despite the administration's estimate of 5 years, which is interesting because now it chooses to listen to its own intelligence again.

That will devastate MAGAs.

Tons in the South.
Regardless, they will somehow twist themselves into an illogical mental pretzel to blame the left.
Much like they heaped praise, when their Rep/Sen came home to tout Millions of dollars in infrastructure monies, that they didn't ****ing vote for.
