Trump is NOT a racist.....Change My Mind....Yes I like Crowder

I don't know why Trump or anyone assumes anything and by the way you left Omar off your list. Why do you assume that his assumption makes him a racist?

Geez Louise. Way to miss the point. Omar was born in Somalia -- she in theory had a country to go back to.

The ones BrotherFease listed were born in the U.S. yet the ignorant, racist-in-chief told them to go back to their horrible countries and fix those horrible countries before offering advice on how to fix America.

Trump kicked out black tenants from his apartments to boost their value. Trump is your bogstandard racist landlord with the caveat of being gifted his fortune.

Please send me a link to "Trump kicked out black tenants from his apartments to boost their value". I might need to read that. Remember I can only change my mind based on facts.

Why would I give two ****s what you think? If Trump is not a racist, would that suddenly not make him not one of the worst presidents in my lifetime(hint: the answer is no)? If he is, would that make him a worse president than he is if he is not(hint: the answer is no)? So what difference does it make, and why is your opinion on the matter relevant to any ****ing thing?

I don't know why you would give two ****s about what I think. I don't know what difference what I think would make. However you might not give two, how did you spell it to pretend to be civil, oh yes ****s but you cared enough to respond and post this. Maybe not two ****s but certainly at least one ****.

I am confused, is Trump a racist or not a racist because Pee Wee Herman fell down laughing?

Except it did nothing to make the country more secure. It was not intended to make the country more secure. Nothing about it had the least tiny bit to do with national security.

This is an opinion only and not even a valid one since he never actually tried to ban "all Muslim immigration". However you can point to a severe drop off in Islamic Terror attacks, including zero since Trump took office, versus 8 under the last administration. While that may not be definitive, I would call it safer.

How dare you be intolerant of Trump's vile behavior. That makes you worse than he is!

Yes...that IS the standard excuse for leftists bigotry, hatred and intolerance. But it’s the hypocrisy that makes you worse.

Not sure where the 3 years reference comes from, I've been here 9 years and have been consistent with my thoughts. That being said, I make no apologies for expressing intolerance for those who hold bigoted views and those who make excuses for those who hold and share those views.

And you have completely lost yourself in your hatred and bigotry over the last three years. Don’t worry....you have LOTS of company.

Hehe. Interesting that you answered that but didn't answer this:

So other than the one time he stated all Muslims should be banned " until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on" you cant offer a single example where as president he exacted policies that were not following the same dictates pressed by the previous administration, concerning the same 7 countries IDENTIFIED by the previous administration. You cant point to motive beyond the candidate literally citing an inept congress. You cant offer ANYTHING actually discriminatory beyond your own constant bigotry and hatred.

Got it.

Hell, you probably cant even see the irony there.....

He couldn't do an outright Muslim ban -- he wouldn't get away with it legally. So he doesn't get credit for not keeping that campaign promise since it is our laws which stopped him from following through.

He made the declaration. And then he asked Giuliani to help him do as much of it as he legally could get away with.

"Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the [black accountant] is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.” -Donald Trump, 1991

Donald Trump’s long history of racism, from the 1970s to 2019 - Vox

Careful, what you allege to be a quote directly from Donald Trump in 1991, is actually a quote from a book written by an admitted disgruntled employee that was refuted by Trump. Hillary was actually caught on tape making a racial joke. That is different.

Trump was also said to have said "I have been practicing. I bowled like a 129. It was like the Special Olympics or something", I don't think that is a bad thing to say to you? He also said this "The point I was making about the Grandmother is not that she harbored any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical black person" That's not bad either is it?

You have so much hatred in your comment and it is precisely what the goal of fascism is.

'Fascism is always, in the end, about stirring people up and giving them someone to hate.' Let me ask you something. Does your anger towards others make you feel better about yourself? Does all of your political commentary have to become a tribalized conflict?
The goal of Fascism is fascism. Period. Fascism is defined as "authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy" Kind of like what certain congressional groups want to do to this country.

Hehe. Interesting that you answered that but didn't answer this:
Frankly...I didn’t answer anything because I didn’t bother reading your question and seriously...why would I bother responding to you in a discussion format? To what end?

:lamo you and others see people allying you out on your hatred and hypocrisy and the ONLY response...the only defense you have is the typical mad angry/hatred commentary. But here’s a quick test for you. Review the threads on this site. See how many unhinged angry hate filled threads I have started.

Now see how many YOU have started.

Every day.

Non stop.

You ****ing ROIL in hatred.

I understand your reluctance. If I were a Trump defender, I too would find it challenging to address Trump's attempt to follow through on the Muslim ban which he promised to enact. Easier to skip over it.

Don't worry, I won't press you further. There is no satisfactory answer. Trump knew he couldn't get a full Muslim ban, so he got Giuliani's help to get him as close to it as the court could possibly allow. And even then he had to take multiple shots at it, one of the many times he has pushed the envelope and been slapped back and then taken another run at it because his only interest in the law is to find loopholes to let him do egregious things.

No defense for Trump from a "he's not really a bigot because he didn't fulfill his illegal promise" standpoint. No defense for him from a respect of law and order standpoint. No defense for him at all.

No reluctance at all to engage in dialogue...just not with people that will fabricate lies to reinforce your bigotry and hatred. Literally the only reason I responded to you in the first place is because you decided to stick your nose into a conversation that didnt concern you...and in doing so exposed yourselves as two peas in a pod.

No. I posted that because it was clearly the best way to show you how I felt about your post.
Oh, ok. Now I understand. You were showing me your intellectual limits. Got it. Good to know!

LOL .

Goodbye.

Taken your enlightenment and going home I see. That's actually a good call. Better to let people think you a fool than open your mouth and prove it.

Looking for open discourse. I have stated MY opinion. If you think you can do so, change my mind. Remember, if you take up the challenge you have to prove your assertions to me. I have a stated opinion, it is very clear. I do not think Trump is a racist.

My opinion, my definition from Webster racism as an adjective is "discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or believing that a particular race is superior to another."

Who cares what you believe?

The majority of Americans know Trump is racist and worse a moron. When he gets mollywopped in 2020 the rest of the cockroaches in the Republican party who still support him now are going to turn around and pretend they were Never Trumpers. No one is going to cop to ever being a supporter. That's how bad hes going to lose and the stink of it will linger on Republicans for decades.

I don't know why Trump or anyone assumes anything and by the way you left Omar off your list. Why do you assume that his assumption makes him a racist?

Omar was left off the list because she was born in a foreign country.

Please answer the question. Why do you think Trump assumed they came from rotten countries and were foreigners? If you really want to have your mind expanded or challenged, please provide a reason. I'll give a day to think about it. Dodging the questions shows you're really not interested in getting your views challenged, just that you want to defend your boy. I get that you want to wear the orange glasses, but you're asking us to challenge your view on Trump and his views on race. Getting your views challenged means you want to re-think your previous beliefs and stances. I am giving you something to actually sink your teeth into and think about.

As an impartial observer, I feel that the answer is NO and YES.

NO

President Trump is NOT a "racist" if one accepts the traditional dictionary definition.

YES

President Trump has publicly stated that he feels immigrants from Norway would be more beneficial to the United States of America than immigrants from certain other countries. I can understand how some people would interpret this as a "racist" attitude.

You are asking the wrong question. Trump may not be a racist. He once had a mixed race girlfriend, for example, and he has socialized with people of color. His feelings about race are not the point. The question is whether he uses racism as a political tool. He does, and the rise of white nationalism under his leadership is clear evidence of it.
