I don't know if there's a scenario where people will flock back to him because he's a damaged brand; especially outside of his base. The Trump choice also means the possibility of a continued political circus and election chaos; he made claims about election fraud in some of the election losses of the candidates he backed during these midterms. The Trump choice not only has to go on faith he can fix anything (he didn't really fix anything before), but what gets broken in the process.Agreed (provisionally).
If the country is not in a recession in November 2024, then Trump cannot exploit the dire economic situation. However if we ARE in a recession, Trump will promise to fix it. Nobody knows if he actually will, but he will promise to, and downtrodden Americans (including independents who voted against him in 2020) will flock to him.
It's hard for me to come close to agreeing with this mainly because COVID was the crisis he had to face and failed pretty badly at managing it outside of Operation Warp Speed. Oh, and I thought he prison reform policy was a good one too. As a president he walked into what was an economy already on the way up, and no major international crises to deal with. Despite that, he managed to make a mess of international politics and sow discord domestically. It could have been different, but what his presidency convinced me of was that he does not have the capacity to adapt to the situation. Instead, he tries to force everything to his will. Many American voters are still displeased with #046 - even after dems managed to keep control of the Senate. . . If we remove COVID from the equation, Trump was a much better president.
Now that Trump is running, it could seal the deal for a Biden 2024 if the premise is this head to head is a somewhat known quantity. The problem I see with it is as it stands right now, both Trump and Biden are more or less tied in unfavorable percentages (low to mid 40s on RCP), and what I would not like to see again is an election of unpopular candidates like we did in 2016. Newsom might be a better pick against DeSantis should things go that road. What makes me question his candidacy is him being a bit further left than a centrist like Biden.Dems need to dump #046. Maybe Gavin Newsom?
Colorado border wallStill not as bad as the puppet who doesn't even know what country...hell, what continent...he's in.
God help America if that useless moron ever gets into a position of power again. As if four years of disastrous policies wasn't enough of a lesson, some idiots want to vote for even more failure! We knew it was coming. The gauntlet is thrown.
I hope dems choose Joe Biden to run against Trump.
(MSNBC) Alex Wagner tried to play the race card against Trump. Ooooops.
Here are some racist comments that Trump never said:
"If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black."
“. . . poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
"You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. . . I'm not joking."
"Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino Community is an incredibly diverse community - with incredibly different attitudes about different things."
“If my opponent wins, they’re going to put y’all back in chains.”
"Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle."
Such weak sauce.Still not as bad as the puppet who doesn't even know what country...hell, what continent...he's in.
Wait, we pivoted to talking about Walker?Still not as bad as the puppet who doesn't even know what country...hell, what continent...he's in.
Both were sporting erections under the desk.Watching the highlights of Hannity and Huckabee slobbering over Trump's announcement.
Sweet Jesus it's like listening to 13 year old girls drooling over a boy band. What a travesty to manhood.
They’ll cross the line and reboard the Trump train, I’m afraid.Oh the coming civil war within the GOP. It will be delicious. Rupert Murdoch and some republicans have already drawn a line against trump. Let's see how long that lasts shall we?
He's like a bad rash that you just can't find the right ointment for. The thought of him pontification for at least another 2 years is nauseating. What will it take for this gremlin to disperse??
I predict DeSantis comes out and says he won't run against Trump.

“Well, heading to Syria,” Fox Business Network editor Maria Bartiromo said, correcting him.
“Yes, heading toward Syria,” Trump said, after a brief pause.
Trump called Belgium “a beautiful city”
The only ones who think Trump has greater cognitive abilities are his bootlickers on here and have even less cognitive ability than he has.
I don't think Trump's supporters mind if people talk about Trump as long as they don't talk about what Trump has actually said or done. When a MAGA Republicans declare "TDS", they mean, "just be nice to Trump or don't talk about him".Conservatives: "Haha, trump is living rent free in your heads. He hasn't been in office for over two years!"
Trump: "Gonna run for President again!"
Conservatives: "Oh ffs."
No, McConnel is a puppet master. He's responsible for packing the court with people from the Spanish Inquisition delighting the religious right. He'll maintain his leader status.Who is going to kiss trumps ass first to get his blessing for GOP senate leader between Mitch McConnell and Rick Scott. My money is on Scott.
Well, now the anti-Drumpf coalition will be re-energized. Will there be a primary for the GQP I wonder? Will DeSanyis risk taking his sanctimonious anti woke bigotry up against the king of racism & hate? The GOP will do just fine.
It's the Dems who have a really tough row to hoe. (IMO)
Ivanka announce she's "out of politics". I'm not sure about Jarod. Jarod owes Trump for facilitating the $2 billion of unsecured loans from the Saudis.Where were Trump's darlings? No Ivanka or Jared and even Melania snubbed his big day. Not a great start if his own family won't endorse him.
Interesting. All evidence dictates the opposite, but anything's possible. The GOP will do just fine.

They will. "There's a sucker born every minute" describes Trump's flock perfectly.Hey rubes.. Send him your money....
They will be back in line soon. those with integrity already left.Dems just need to keep their heads down as the GOP tears themselves apart trying to divorce themselves from their messiah. I'm sure they will lose and fall back in line and worship their orange messiah once again.
What makes you think Trump will win the GOP nomination?I hope dems choose Joe Biden to run against Trump.
