But, word of warning -the Southern District Court of NY has somewhat of a reputation. They retain rights that only states possess and Trump cannot interfere at all with the SDNY. They investigate crimes, period. They aren't chasing ghosts, they aren't part of the Mueller investigation into Russia hacking of the election. The crimes and people the SDNY has historically prosecuted are thugs, racketeers, Wall St. white collar crimes and mafia-connected individuals like John Gotti and Sammy Gravano.

Usually, when someone gets a subpoena from the SDNY their first reaction is 'Oh ****!!'

We'll see if there's fire under all the smoke they got from Michael Cohen.

The Mueller investigation isn't the only investigation that Trump and his team of conspirators need to fear, it's the Southern District of NY that's going to be more trouble for them that Robert Mueller. They're looking for 'straw donors' such as foreign money being given to the inaugural committee to influence Trump.
