The Mueller investigation isn't the only investigation that Trump and his team of conspirators need to fear, it's the Southern District of NY that's going to be more trouble for them that Robert Mueller. They're looking for 'straw donors' such as foreign money being given to the inaugural committee to influence Trump.

[h=1]Trump Inaugural Committee Ordered to Hand Over Documents to Federal Investigators[/h]
President Trump’s inaugural committee was ordered on Monday to turn over documents about its donors, finances and activities to federal prosecutors in Manhattan, according to two people familiar with their investigation into the committee’s activities.
A lawyer working with the inaugural committee received a subpoena on Monday evening seeking documents related to all of the committee’s donors and event attendees; any benefits handed out, including tickets and photo opportunities with the president; federal disclosure filings; vendors; contracts; and more, one of the people said.

The 43% of people that would still vote for him are certifiable morons. How millions of Americans think it is a good idea to fully trust someone who created Trump University, bankrupted a casino, and started a mortgage company at the peak of a housing bubble is just beyond me.
Actually, these are still federal crimes, so he could still pardon any family members indicted.Just saw this on All In with Chris Hays. Trump should be more concerned about the SDNY than anything Mueller can do. Trump's family should be more concerned about this as well. Daddy can't pull any strings if they gets in trouble with them.
Again, these are federal crimes, so that's incorrect. There will be no pardons in NY for the Trumps.
Sounds like another witch hunt to succeed the Mueller nothingburger which is about to end. The Southern District has all but declared war on the Trump Organization.
Let them dig...Meanwhile, “We have just received a subpoena for documents. While we are still reviewing the subpoena, it is our intention to cooperate with the inquiry,” a spokesperson for the inauguration told ABC News.

How much more absurd can it get? Federal criminal attorneys are mining private donations to a privately funded celebration AFTER HE WON?
Hey, why not find out who gave wedding presents to Ivana at her wedding; besides, what about those lunch receipts when she went out with Chelsie Clinton? Didn't they eat shrimp from a dubious nation? So about that shrimp bisque, where did they go, what do they know, and when did they know it?
The Republic has become a sham of lawfare, as absurd as a charge of wrong-doing in Russia by the wrong-doers...crazy.
At the heart of what is an extremely early stage of an investigation is whether campaign officials knowingly accepted illegal foreign donations and made false FEC disclosures (which are signed under penalty of perjury). To those not familiar, this kind of incident is not new to us:
"The United States attorney’s office in Brooklyn is separately investigating whether foreigners illegally funneled donations to Mr. Trump’s inaugural committee using so-called straw donors to disguise their donations. Federal law prohibits foreign contributions to inaugural committees."
Yes, that's what Dinesh D'souza was convicted of.
This investigation is brand spanking new, and for all we know it could go nowhere. But is it likely that Trump campaign officials knowingly accepted foreign donations and then lied about them on FEC forms? I'll let you be the judge of that.

He was charged with orchestrating two straw donations in a federal election; not making a straw donation to what would have been a pity party after his candidate predictably lost.
This is dumber than dumb.

I have no respect for them on an intellectual level.

Ha! And what about the caviar and vodka served at the Inauguration balls? Did Trump give Putin's vendors carte blanche to jack up the bill millions so that the Trump Organization would get a kickback?
:cuckoo:
Why would it be "likely" because you want it to be so? You people are a joke.
I'm not sure which meaningful difference you're seeing between D'Souza and what Trump campaign officials are being investigated of.
Knowing what you know about Trump and the people who worked for him, do you think it's likely that Trump campaign officials knowingly accepted foreign donations and then lied about them on FEC forms?
I'm sure you don't know the difference between an FEC charge over a violation meant to protect against foreign interference with an election, and a violation that protects against non-election privately funded good time.
And that, in a nutshell, is what is wrong with the Trump lynch mob.
Again, these are federal crimes, so that's incorrect.
Now, that doesn't mean state level charges won't be pursued for other offenses, but that's not the case thus far.
