And what exactly is a win? It is not as simple and straightforward as we would like to believe. Let's take a look at the words of Rosie Perez' character in White Men Can't Jump:

I think Trump genuinely believed he could convince Putin to stop the war. Well, he couldnt and now he knows it. So Trump has changed course and is all in on Ukraine winning. Not sure what the problem with that is.

If he can't extort using his daddy's money or our federal government then he's pretty useless.

Now, he should be able to extort Putin using our federal government but he's either too weak or too stupid or too unwilling.

So, many more white Ukrainian men, women and children (around 85% of all Ukrainians are Christians) will be murdered or kidnapped or tortured.

Trump will always capitulation to Trump. He will try and put on a "tough on Putin" act for his base, but Trump is a coward and cowards always back down.
Trump did everything for Putin in Canada, except perform oral sex on Putin in public and got nothing in return.
Trump's current "tough on Russia" plan is simply to have the EU do it. In other words, the "bully" needs somebody else to fight his Putin battle for him.

It's more than that. Putin has something on Trump that terrifies Trump. It may be corruption, it may be Russian teens or it may be something else, but its definately something very damaging to Trump.

You are missing a big part of this issue. Only a total idiot would have believed that Trump could end the Ukranian war on "Day One". Only a pathological lying conman would have ever made such a comment to begin with.
You are correct in saying that nobody else has been succesful. The problem is nobody else lied to the American people claiming that they could and would end the war.

I agree but I don't think he or the US should be all in until our European allies are.

In addition I can't understand why PROGs are celebrating over more war and more death to come.

When Russia first invaded Ukraine, the assumption was that Russia would win in a week. Years later, Russia has barely gained any territory, and that was at an enormous cost. Russia has lost soldiers, tanks, planes, ammo... They resorted to using prisoners and North Korean soldiers as cannon fodder.

All that with the US sending very little aid in 2025; with Trump changing his mind every 30 seconds; with Trump sucking up to Putin and repeating his talking points...

No, they aren't. The EU has committed MORE funding to Ukraine than the US by this point -- $186 billion in USD. The US has committed around $125 billion.

The US isn't "investing in Latin America." It's screwing over every nation South of the Border via erratic tariffs that will hurt the US almost as much as those other nations. It's deliberately screwing Brazil... despite the US having a trade surplus with Brazil... because they're being mean to their *cough* former autocratic President who tried and failed to stage a coup against the newly elected government. Sound familiar?

The closest it comes to that is offering $20 billion to prop up Argentina's Trumpian-libertarian-populist President. That isn't "investment," it's political BS. Milei is a right-wing populist with authoritarian tendencies and a talent for kissing Trump's ass. He's blown through tens of billions loaned to Argentina by the IMF. He blew through $1 billion in the last month or so in a vain attempt to prop up the peso. Any money loaned to Argentina's government will not be "invested" in any businesses, the US isn't getting anything for it. Trump just doesn't want one of his buddies to lose in the upcoming Argentinian elections.

Hilariously, the few MAGAs who have heard about this are either confused or pissed off. For example, China stopped buying US soybeans (again...) a few months ago in retaliation of the tariffs. Farmers are waiting for aid, and... Trump hasn't gotten it to them. But Trump is now sending $20 billion to Argentina? Whose main export is... agricultural products like soybeans and beef? So the US is what, refusing to help its farmers but is propping up foreign farmers instead?

It's pretty stunning that anyone still falls for, let alone defends, Trump's BS. Even knowing the Power of Partisanship, it really is astounding.

Here's an idea.
The West has held about $300 billion in Russian assets.
They should release 2 billion a day to Ukraine until Russia stops the war, or they disperse it all.
Then Russia will have to accept the war has an additional real cost per day.

Of course as long as Trump-MAGA controls the country this will never ever EVER happen.
