Trump celebrates harsh conditions for detainees on visit to ‘Alligator Alcatraz’

"The president was chaperoned by Florida’s hard-right governor, Ron DeSantis, who hailed the tented camp on mosquito-infested land 50 miles west of Miami as an example for other states that supported Trump’s mass deportation agenda. “The snakes are fast, but alligators [are faster],” he said. “We’re going to teach them how to run away from an alligator. Don’t run in a straight line, look, like this, and you know what? Your chances go up about 1%. Not a good thing.”

At a press conference following the tour, Trump was equally dismissive of concerns about conditions in the Everglades, where the daily heat index in July regularly exceeds 100F (37.8C). ".“It might be as good as the real Alcatraz. A little controversial, but couldn’t care less,” he said.

The Everglades camp is opening as the number of deaths of those in Ice custody continues to climb. A 75-year-old Cuban man, who had been in the US for almost 60 years, died in Ice custody in Miami on 26 June, the 13th death in the agency’s facilities since October."

This man is sick in the head.
This is in Alligator Alley Im wondering how expensive it’s going to be for maintenance and how hard to find workers. No one lives out there except some tribal folks

People entering illegally clearly have already proven they have no respect for our laws. I don't want them here especially when there are million of law abiding people waiting to immigrate to our country. Law abiding immigrants make this country great and lawless people are a danger to the law abiding citizens. Law abiding are welcome and lawless get the boot as it should be.
LOL It is those the employ these migrants that have no respect for our laws. They are the one inviting them and you should know that. They come to make a better life for themselves and their families and work hard to prove it and what do we do? Spit in their faces and call them names, It is shameful and sick.

DeSantis has already spent $4.5 million of our money in a week. He claims he will get it back from Trump...

A thousand employees. Not to mention the NG patrolling the perimeter.

Congress wants to give Trump $45 billion for concentration camps.

I pity anyone who works there, and there are probably any number who want to. we have posters are are totally fine with this.

You can clean your own toilets and pick your own crops. See how long that lasts...
Actually, somehow I have managed to clean a whole lot of toilets during my 63 years. In fact I wiped my Mom’s ass and cleaned her toiled for 19 years as well. And then….spent several years doing the same for my mother in law. And you?

They are welcome to come to our country legally. The also can apply for a work visa or even immigrant status. We the People decide you comes to our country not lawless people from other countries. That is how it works. Trump is doing everything by the numbers the way it should be done. First secure our border only letting law abiding people in. Then remove everyone who is not supposed to be here. Then fill these jobs with law abiding people. If these businesses cannot work within the law they need to be replaced by businesses that can. Thanks to Trump this nightmare he inherited can be fixed just like securing our border. What is sad is all the people who support all this lawless behavior. If it is not reigned in we will be as bad as the place these people are fleeing.

Ron DeSantis’s record of torturing civilians makes talk about “respect for laws” downright hilarious.

Not sure where he will find 1,000 employees to work there. Pinecrest is the closest village and its unincorporated and the people there are millionaires that certainly aren’t going to work as guards

Man, a lot of people are going to die there.

No shortage of folks working at the site now.

That's great, of course, but it seems unlikely it can support our economy.
Did I say it would? There are plenty of legal American citizens that clean toilets, pick crops and wipe asses. How do you think our Country somehow managed before the incredible influx of illegals immigrants under the Biden administration? It’s just an excuse. We will be fine. Crops will continue to be picked , as well as toilet cleaned. As well as asses wiped.

Maybe DeSantis will deploy the NG?

No.

Or better yet. Maybe DeSantis will hire legal immigrants. :ROFLMAO:

Are you ok with the president deriving pleasure from his inhumane treatment?
